she doesn't think that surgery is necessary
As one with that condition, I am fully familiar with its consequences. Great to see such good news for you. Stay well!

No surgery! I know people who have had jaw surgery for very iffy things, and they always regret it. My jaw is permanently subluxed, and I refused surgery. I've had some optional surgeries and paid the price.

My husband has really bad sleep apnea. He also has a small throat. He had surgery and all it did was raise the pitch a bit on the snoring. So instead of sounding like a freight train rumbling through the house, he sounds more like a person snoring. LOL

What finally helped him was a CPAP machine. In Canada, you just go to the centers. They do the breathing tests and recommend a mask and machine. My husband stopped breathing 66 times in his test, so he got the top quality of machine. He has changed masks a few times. But it made a tremendous difference to his health, his tiredness and being able to function.

So try the CPAP before you even consider surgery. And don't consider surgery - you will regret it!

Haha, well, thank you for that information! I'm not letting them do surgery. We might try the CPAP but I believe my doctor is trying to hold off on all of that because of my age, and fix some habits I have that make it harder to breath.
