A bit long but ive shortened this a bit and pasted, hoping for feedback. Ageofknowledge posted something on using a.charcoal for gerd in a thread abt 2 yrs ago.

https://www.quantumbalancing.com/news/charcoal_poultice.htm

This POWERFUL Healing Tool ADSORBS EFFICIENTLY, being used for localized DETOXIFICATION (i.e. - TOXIC Liver, Bee Stings, Spider or Snake Bites). NOTE: Adsorption (adsorb) is a POWERFUL Electrical Action and absorption (absorb) is ONLY a Mechanical Action.

 1. Blend two tablespoons of Flax Seeds in a Blender to make a Flax Seed Meal. NOTE: Make up ONLY as MUCH Flax Seed Meal as you NEED for the Poultice and if there is ANY EXTRA Meal, then store it in the Refrigerator. Be SURE to use it though within 1 week, since the Meal starts becoming RANCID afterwards, making it TOXIC to the Body! Slippery Elm Inner Bark Powder, which does NOT become RANCID, could be substituted instead.
 2. Mix an EQUAL amount of Activated Charcoal Powder SLOWLY together with the Flax Seed Meal in a small Pot, that contains 5 - 6 tablespoons of Distilled (preferably) Water.
 3. Bring this Mixture to a Boil and stir until obtaining a Toothpaste consistency. NOTE: The desired consistency should be such that it is NOT TOO WET to run all over, or TOO DRY to fall apart.
 4. Spread the Poultice Paste EVENLY on top of a 6 x 6 inch Macroporous Cloth/Towel (i.e. - Cotton Cheesecloth, Cotton Gauze, or even an unbleached (preferably) double-layered Paper Towel).
 5. Place another layer of 6 X 6 inch Cloth/Towel DIRECTLY on top of this Poultice Paste laden bottom layer.
 6. Place a 7 X 7 inch piece of double-layered Saran Wrap DIRECTLY on top of the now COMPLETED Poultice to cover it, while leaving 1 inch ALL the way around.
 7. Place this Activated Charcoal Poultice over the desired area of Skin to be treated (i.e. - Liver, Stomach, Kidneys, Spleen, Knee, Sting/Bite Area or ...).
 8. Place Surgical Tape around the Poultice and stick it to the Skin Area to be treated. NOTE: Saran Wrap, a Towel, or an Ace or other stretch-type Bandage could also be wrapped around the Poultice to secure it into place.
 9. Leave this Activated Charcoal Poultice in place overnight or at LEAST for 2 to 4 hours, if applied during the day. NOTE: If the Poultice is used over the Liver, it should be changed EVERY day until the very BAD odor is TOTALLY GONE for 2 days in a row. Do NOT reuse Activated Charcoal Poultice after each use!
NOTE: If you NEED to use Activated Charcoal for an Eye Problem(s), then you can make a small 2" X 2" Charcoal Poultice (see above) and place it over one eyelid for 8-10 hours, repeat for the other eyelid. You can use a Ski Cap or Surgical Tape to hold the Charcoal Poultice on the eyelid.

Activated Charcoal Universal Antidote and Detoxifier
Richard C. Kaufman, Ph.D.

Activated charcoal is a highly absorbent gritty black material commonly found in air and water filters. Activated charcoal is created by carbonizing organic matter in a kiln under anaerobic conditions and activating the material with oxidizing gases like steam or air at high temperatures. This oxidative process erodes the charcoals internal surfaces and increases its adsorption capacity by creating an internal network of very fine pores. Usually bone char, coconut shells, peat, coal, petroleum coke, and sawdust are the starting materials for making activated charcoal.
Early Uses Of Charcoal The medical uses for charcoal date back to the Egyptian Papyrus of 1550 B.C. During the time of Hippocrates (400 B.C.) physicians treated epilepsy and anthrax with charcoal. In the 1700s charcoal was often prescribed for bilious problems (excessive bile excretion). After the development of the charcoal activation process (1870 to 1920), many reports appeared in medical journals about activated charcoal as an antidote for poisons and a cure for intestinal disorders.

Contemporary Charcoal Use Modern research has validated most of the early uses for charcoal and discovered exciting new applications. This article will discuss the many important therapeutic uses for activated charcoal;(1,6)

 • Universal antidote for drugs, chemicals and poisons.
 • Systemic clearance of drugs and intoxicants.
 • General detoxification.
 • Anti-aging and life extension.
 • Reducing cholesterol, coronary disease and arteriosclerosis.
 • Counteracting pathogens.
 • Intestinal complaints.
Antidote For Drugs, Chemicals and Poisons Activated charcoal has the well-earned reputation of being a universal antidote. It can adsorb most organic chemicals, many inorganic chemicals and countless poisonous substances before they can cause harm. How well activated charcoal really works in practical situations depends on several different factors:(8)

 • The type of toxicant (its chemical structure and physical properties)
 • The amount and type of charcoal ingested.
 • The length of time from toxin ingestion to activated charcoal ingestion.
 • The contents of your intestinal fluids and intestinal transport efficiency.
As a general rule, a single large dose of activated charcoal should be taken as soon as possible after ingesting a poison. The amount of activated charcoal should exceed the toxic substance by a factor of eight (a ratio of 8:1). In other words, if youre poisoned with 5 grams of a chemical, you need to take at least 40 grams of activated charcoal. Other researchers recommend different dosages. Some experts believe a 10 to 1 ratio is correct. Still other experts recommend a fixed amount of 50 to 100 grams. I recommend ingesting a minimum of 50 grams of activated charcoal as a counterpoison, because ingesting large amounts of activated charcoal is harmless, and taking too little is ineffective.

The actual effectiveness of the activated charcoal will vary, so take more than you think you require. Activated charcoal should be taken within 30 minutes of ingesting the poison. The longer the delay, the less effective activated charcoal will be. On some poisons delaying more than 30 minutes decreases the effectiveness of the activated charcoal as an antidote by up to 60%. The bottom line is plain and simple. Keeping activated charcoal in your medicine cabinet and taking it if you are poisoned could save your life and your money too.

Systemic Clearance of Drugs and Intoxicants Nowadays, activated charcoal is often used to clear drugs and intoxicants that can enter the body through the intestinal tract, and even by injection and other routes. The systemic clearance of toxic substances or detoxification by activated charcoal is accomplished by taking multiple daily doses. Activated charcoal detoxifies the body in several manners:(4)

1. Purifies the 6-8 liters of digestive fluids that are secreted daily which in turn helps remove foreign substances from the blood.
2. Absorbs the intoxicant substance and its metabolites that are excreted into the small intestine from the biliary (bile) tract, preventing their reabsorption.
3. Absorbs drugs that diffuse back into the stomach and intestines.
4. Decreases the detoxification work load of the liver.

Even experts disagree on the best way of using multiple doses of activated charcoal to remove intoxicants. Most protocols are based on experience with drug overdosages. In actual clinical situations, the activated charcoal regimen is optimized to the patient. The doctor considers the type of toxic substance, severity of intoxification, digestive functions and electrolyte balance. For mild overdoses and intoxification, I suggest up to 80-100 grams divided into 4-6 daily doses of powdered activated charcoal until the symptoms are eliminated.

General Detoxification Very few health practitioners realize that activated charcoal is the best single supplement for enhancing detoxification. Detoxification is an on-going biological process that prevents toxins (from infectious agents, food, air, water, and substances that contact the skin) from destroying health. Chronic exposure to toxins produces cellular damage, diverse diseases, allergic like reactions, compromised immunity and premature aging.(14)
To use activated charcoal in a detoxification plan, I recommend about 20 grams a day of powdered activated charcoal be taken in divided daily doses for several months or the duration of the detoxification program.
In addition to activated charcoal, the ideal detoxification prescription includes sauna baths, exercise, a special diet, and supplements (unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin C, niacin, proteolytic (protein digesting) enzymes, liver support phytonutrients and a comprehensive multiple nutrient formula.(9)

Anti-Aging and Life Extension Dr. V. V. Frolkis, a famous Russian Gerontologist, and his colleagues have discovered that activated charcoal is a potent life-extending agent. Activated charcoal has been found to increase the mean lifespan of older test animals by approximately 40% and their maximum lifespan by approximately 34%.(2)
Activated charcoal decreases the age-related increase in the brains sensitivity to drugs and toxins.
Activated charcoal normalizes cholesterol and lipid metabolism.
The regular use of activated charcoal improves the adaptive functioning of essential organs (the liver, kidneys, and adrenals). That translates into better defense mechanisms.
Microscopic tissue analysis shows that activated charcoal prevents many cellular changes associated with aging-decreased protein synthesis, lower RNA activity, arteriosclerosis, and organ fibrosis.

A recommended protocol for anti-aging and life extension benefits is as follows: On two consecutive days each week, take about 30 grams each day of powdered activated charcoal in divided daily doses. Take charcoal in the morning, at midday and before bed on an empty stomach. Avoid excessive calories or unhealthy foods on those days.
Reducing Cholesterol and Coronary Artery Disease You can help your heart and circulatory system by taking activated charcoal. Activated charcoal lowers the concentration of total lipids, cholesterol, and triglycerides in the blood serum, liver, heart and brain.
Counteracting Pathogens Activated charcoal reduces the activity of some viruses. So if you catch a cold or the flu, try activated charcoal. You may suffer less and heal faster. Activated charcoal also prevents the poisonous activity of many harmful bacteria in the human body by adsorbing the toxins and enzymes that they generate.

Systemic Candidiasis Activated charcoal can be an effective adjunct to any regimen for the treatment of systemic Candida albicans infections. Activated charcoal adsorbs much of the toxins that Candida produces that otherwise would be absorbed by the blood and carried throughout the body.
Activated charcoal also suppresses the growth of intestinal-based yeasts.(3) Activated charcoal counteracts the Herxheimer reaction--a severe, short-term exacerbation of Candida symptoms caused by the copious amount of toxins produced by dying yeast cells. The Herxheimer reaction is often so unpleasant that patients abandon treatment before completion. Activated charcoal is one method for alleviating the symptoms of yeast die-off so people can continue their treatment and not suffer.

I suggest 20-30 grams of powdered activated charcoal a day in divided dosages on an empty stomach until the problem is eliminated. The larger amount is taken for more severe situations. Again, a reminder: do not take required medications within 2 hours of taking activated charcoal.
Intestinal Complaints Activated charcoal has been used by physicians since the last century to treat various intestinal complaints. Abdominal distension (bloating) and flatulence respond favorably to treatment with activated charcoal. Diarrhea caused by food poisoning, bacteria, nervousness and other factors is usually alleviated by taking activated charcoal.(10) Some physicians have used activated charcoal to stop bleeding from ulcerative colitis and calm spastic colons.(12) Activated charcoal is the best intestinal deodorant available. Taking activated charcoal counteracts decomposition products from food (such as beans) that cause flatulence and diarrhea. Individuals with malodorous stools should reach for activated charcoal.

Charcoal Is Safe Toxicology studies have proven that activated charcoal is basically harmless. Ingesting high dosages does not interfere with sleep, appetite or well being--or cause major problems. There are several undesirable effects of using activated charcoal that can be avoided by complying with the following directions. Activated charcoal is highly adsorbent; when it is ingested at the same time as medication, supplements and foods it may decrease their absorption and utilization. Therefore, always allow 2 hours before and wait 2 hours after using activated charcoal to eat, take supplements or swallow medication.

Not All Charcoal is Alike Numerous companies manufacture activated charcoals, each of which can have different adsorptive capacities. Different source materials and manufacturing procedures give each brand of activated charcoal its own pore diameters and internal volume that determine its adsorption capacity. The U.S.P. (United States Pharmacopoeia) standard for activated charcoal specifies an internal surface area of 1000 m2/g (square meters per gram). Recently, several companies have begun manufacturing Super activated charcoals, with up to 3 times the internal surface area per gram and far greater adsorption power than standard activated charcoal.(3)

Powders, Capsules, or Tablets? Because of the large volume of charcoal that is needed, it iseasiest to take liquid preparation of charcoal powder. For example, to take 30 grams of charcoal a day in capsules would require that you swallow about 60 capsules.
Research studies showed that that the addition of bentonite significantly improved the palatability of an activated charcoal and water slurry. Bentonite acts as thickening agent that reduces powdery mouth-feel and improves the taste without reducing the efficacy of activated charcoal. In fact, bentonite is an enterosorption agent and a poison antidote in its own right. The addition ofchocolate further enhances the palatability of activated charcoal in research studies and practical experience.(12,13)

I quickly read the post. Long, but very informative.

To briefly sum up, no one modality or specific treatment is a panacea.
The body is holistic, and complicated beyond our present knowledge.
There are some areas we have no controlmover, like certain environmental pressures, and genetic predispositions.
But we have control over what we put in our bodies, and many agree, that is probably the number one determining factor in longevity and quality of health.
BTW, what is often overlooked, is that the cleaner our diets, and lifestyle, the more connected and empowered to the connection of the Spirit we are.
If that was the only benefit, that alone should suffice as motivation to strive.
But the physical rewards are also substantial.
To bad so many Christians are being cut down so many years before they need to be.
Loss of service to God, and to our families.

I understand gelatine could also be used to thicken the charcoal, because it will crumble if dried and only water is used. And yes, the a. charcoal is spot on. I only apologize because i so wanted to post exerpts from the material but hadnt enough time to shorten it more. Soem parts have been highlighted/put in bold, but i did nt manage to cut off more paragraphs and fix the spacing. So it was still quite long really.
Now i'm reminded of some prayer requests, even about a heart problem, and taking this space to post part of testimonies of an SDA pastor/teacher in teh south who has been using activated charcoal in helping others heal. This is not promoting sda teachings, but people may learn a thing or two, that even cancers, skin disease, bone injury (his) could be tackled in other ways not commonly known or accepted. There again, you can choose only what to read=)
Charcoal Testimonies from the Philippines
To start with, may I introduce myself. I am Pastor Severino S. Paypa, a retired professor and chairman of the Theology and Health Department of Mountain View College, Valencia City, Philippines. Mountain View College is a Seventh-day Adventist Educational Institution.

I am a health oriented college evangelist for Field School of Evangelism for the senior ministerial students blending health and the gospel in the nightly public presentations. The eight natural remedies, Swedish massage, hydrotherapy and charcoal remedies are the strongest right arm of our College evangelism.

In 1996 I wrote a book , Healing Wonders of Charcoal published and printed by Philippine Publishing House for home use of the non-medical oriented population. Today, I am in the process of updating the book. I have found that the book,CharcoalRemedies.com The Complete Handbook of Medicinal Charcoal and Its Applications contains rich information on charcoal remedies for laymen in the field of medicine.

In view of this, may I have your permission to use your book as part of my references in the revised edition? Thank you for you kind consideration on this request. May God bless your medical ministry.
Respectfully yours,
Pastor Severino S. Paypa

APPLIED CHARCOAL REMEDIES
This chapter presents some actual experiences and personal testimonies on actual applications on the "Healing Wonders of Activated Charcoal". We have practiced at home and taught publicly for more than thirty years. Charcoal works at home and in the community. Hundreds and thousands of people were benefited from our yearly training seminars in towns and cities in the different parts of the Philippines. These experiences are our lasting tokens of love for the people we have served. As the apostle Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he leaping stood up… leaping and praising God.” (Acts 3: 6-8) Yes, thousand and thousands of people leaping for joy and praising God for the healing wonders of charcoal. They experienced physical and spiritual healing. Our free services are engraved in their hearts forever. My healing ministry will never fade away but continue to shine on from generation to generation. Thus we share these much treasured experiences with our beloved readers. In these experiences both activated charcoal and homemade charcoal powder work wonders.

Cancer of the Colon
Flaviano, a 76-year-old businessman from Valencia City, Bukidnon, complained of pain in the abdomen and observed changes in his bowel movement. He went to the hospital for medication. The biopsy result in January 1996 showed that he had ”adenocarcenoma in the descending colon.” The medical advice was surgery. One year after his surgery, his abdominal pains reoccurred. He was brought back to the hospital. The CT scan report noted “two polyps in Recto-sigmoid and in descending colon.” He was given good medical care but was deteriorating physically.

Two months after the CT scan, the ultrasound on the liver showed “hypoechoic nodule on the right lobe, likely due to metastasis." His children were told that their father had only a few more days to live. On December 15, 1997 the children brought their father home.
At this time we were conducting a six-week seminar in Maramag, Bukidnon....The participants of the seminar observed positive progress of the patient. Ten days later the patient could stand by himself. He was placed on a graduated walking exercise. On January 3, 1998 we had our closing program for the seminar. That evening he walked alone up the platform and gave a public testimony on the healing effects of charcoal therapy. After the seminar, we brought him to the college medical clinic for follow-up treatment for 45 days. No drug was administered to him except charcoal and food supplements. After the follow-up treatment, he went home and assisted in the management of the family business.

Cancer of the Liver
Saturnino. In November 1995, Saturnino, 67 years old, a prominent businessman in Valencia City, Bukidnon, was diagnosed to have liver cancer. His son is a practicing physician in Valencia City. His attending physicians gave him five months to live. He went to Manila for another checkup. The condition of his liver was getting worse and he was given three months to live. As weeks passed by, Saturnino became very weak and pale. He had nightly fever. He could hardly walk by himself. His wife brought him to the college campus for charcoal remedies.

A charcoal poultice was applied over his liver three times a day and a charcoal drink was given every three to four hours. He was placed on a non-flesh diet high in vitamins A and C. No drug medications were given to him except food supplements. After five days of treatment, his nightly fever stopped. Ten days later, the feeling of midnight hunger disappeared. He was placed on a graduated walking exercise every day and given three meals a day.

Three weeks later his skin turned pinkish and he gained strength gradually. After the 30 days he went home with a strong body and was back to his business. During our visit, two years after the treatment, he told us that he had already celebrated his second “death anniversary”.
Cancer Pain
Jelma. On the first week of September 1997, Jelma, 46, a resident of Butuan City, was diagnosed to have cancer of the colon. She underwent surgery. A few months later her uterus and ovaries were removed. The following year her colon cancer recurred. The CT scan showed the presence of “adhesions below the right lobe of the liver and in the right iliac fossa”. She was suffering from severe abdominal pain, bowel movement problem, and high fever. Her physician prescribed morphine to relieve her pain. She had to take morphine once or twice daily. Her attending physician told her husband that his wife had only a few days to live.

She was brought to the medical clinic at Mountain View College for charcoal therapy. We applied charcoal poultice over her abdomen three times a day and gave her charcoal drink every three to four hours. During the first two days of treatment she was given pain relievers. On the third day the pain was slightly reduced. The fever stopped and never came again. On the next two days, the pain came on and off, but could be tolerated without pain relievers. On the fourth day, she defecated. Two days after, again she could not defecate. On the second week, she had a loose bowel movement which was mostly sticky mucus. This incident lasted for 4 days. To ease the severe abdominal pain, she was given pain relievers. No other drug medications were given.

In the succeeding two weeks, the patient was relieved from severe abdominal pain. She took no more pain relievers up until leaving the clinic on October 17, 1998.

Ear Infection
Glendyl Love, my 24-year old daughter is a teacher in East Visayan Academy, Bulakao Talisay, Cebu. In 1998, she had an infection in the right ear which affected her hearing. She was given drug medications. After one week, the pain increased and hearing was completely lost. She was referred to a specialist who subjected her to a thorough examination. It was found out that there was water trapped in the eardrum. She was told to undergo surgery.

She called us by telephone informing us of her health problem. She said she would have surgery in the ear. We advised her to come home for a charcoal poultice. She did. We applied the poultice over the ear. On the fourth day of treatment, fluid came out. After we dressed her ear, hearing was restored. She went back to Cebu to see her doctor for a checkup. He was surprised to see that the problem was solved.

Hematoma in the Brain
Rhodel, from Naawan, Misamis Oriental, is 19 years old, single, and my son’s brother-in-law. A few days after his graduation in October 1996, he had a motorcycle accident. He was hospitalized in Iligan City. The cranial CT scan dated November 5, 1996 showed an “epidural hematoma on the left temporal region with an approximate volume of 86 cc or about 3.2 cm”. The ultimate decision of his attending physician was cranial surgery. Money was a problem. So a week later, we checked him out of the hospital.

Rhodel had trouble balancing himself and he had double vision. Two days after arriving home, we applied a charcoal poultice on his head three times a day. After three days of therapy the pricking pain in his head reduced gradually. No drug medication was given to him while undergoing the charcoal treatment. After a week, his body regained balance and his vision improved. Three weeks later, he was restored to his normal energy level.

After 20 days of treatment, we brought him to Cebu City for cranial CT scan. The results were amazing. The cranial CT scan revealed, “ a chronic extracerebral (epidural) hematoma on the left fronto-temporal region with overlying well-aligned temporal bone fracture”. When compared with the previous CT scan done on November 5, 1996, there was a marked diminution now measured 1.8 cm as compared to the previous measurement of about 3.2 cm at its greatest axial diameter”. We continued the charcoal applications for another three weeks to completely remove the remaining hematoma. Rhodel is completely restored to health.

Ovarian Cyst, Uteral Endometriosis
Ophelia is 45 years old, married, and a professor of Mountain View College. She went to the hospital for an annual physical check-up. The ultrasound results on October 23, 1996 showed chronic pancreatitis. Her enlarged pancreas measured 2.0x1.6 cm. She also had a parenchymal disease in the kidney. The right kidney was small measuring 8.5x3.3 cm. There was a marked dilation of the central sinus echoes with hypochronic areas. There was endometriosis observed in the uterus and cystic teratoma on the left ovary measuring 3.4x2.9 cm and the right ovary measuring 3.0x3.0 cm. The medical suggestion was “left oophorectomy for biopsy and possible hysterectomy”.

We suggested applying charcoal poultice every night and taking a charcoal drink three times a day.

She followed our suggestion. A few weeks later, she came back to us with information that the foul secretions were reduced. She continued applying the charcoal poultice and taking the charcoal drink. Four months after the initial diagnosis, she went to a nearby hospital for check up. The ultrasound results revealed that her “uterus was normal in size, with an intact endometrium”. No masses nor calcifications were noted. Ecopattern was homogenous. Her left kidney showed multiple cystic masses measuring 1.48 cm to 2.27 cm compared with the previous study which measured 3.4x2.9 cm. The impression was adnexa=R/I Physiologic ovarian cyst, versus enlarged ovarian follicles. Suspicious of the result of the recent ultrasound, she continued the routine charcoal treatments and prepared for surgery the following month.

A month after the second check-up, she went to Cebu City for checkup and surgery. The ultrasound reports dated April 11, 1997 showed that the “uterus is anteflexed measuring 9.7x5.8 cm. The endometrial and myometrial echoes are intact. The right ovary is normal in size and appearance. The left adnexa is negative”. Ophelia left for home with great confidence that her health problems were solved by charcoal therapy.

Heart Problem
Joy. (1998) Joy is a close friend of my daughter-in-law. She graduated in nursing course at Mountain View College, Philippines. For years she could not find employment due to her heart problem. She had difficulty of breathing just in climbing up stairs. She could not walk fast. She was on drug maintenance for years. In 1998, she went up to the college for a vacation. She stayed with us.

After one week she discussed with us her health problem. We offered her a daily charcoal poultice on the chest but she had to stay a little longer. She consented. So we informed her parents. When we started the application I asked her if she could stop her medication temporarily but take it when needed. The charcoal poultices were applied 5 hours in the morning, 5 hours in the afternoon, and the whole evening. The charco-drinks (2 tablespoons of charcoal powder to a half glass of warm water followed by a glass of clear drinking water) were given early morning and at bedtime. In two weeks time she felt the difference. She could go along without drug medication and increased the speed of her daily walking exercise. At the end of one month she could climb stairs with less difficulty.
Every week she increased her walking distance and speed. On the fourth week of the second month of applications she was playing tennis. She recovered completely. She got married and later went to Loma Linda, California and stayed with us for about a year.

Bone Injury
The Author. In April 1999, I met with an accident. I was carrying up to the dormitory two big water containers from the drinking water tank near the college alumni church. While I was going up on the concrete steps, my foot slipped down and my neck whip lashed back when my head hit on the cement. The wounds on my forehead and face were treated. But after a few weeks I began to feel something different. When Dr. Leciones, a neurologist, visited the college campus, I took the opportunity of referring it to him. He suggested that I should go to Cebu for a check-up. With permission from the college president, I went to Miller Sanitarium and Hospital.

After two series of X-rays, Drs. Tornilla Sr. and Leciones could not determine the problem. They suggested an MRI. So I had one done on my neck. The result? I had fractures in C3, C4 and C5. Dr. Tornilla invited Dr. W. Briones, a neurologist, to help them study the case. Their recommendation was anterior decompression by discectomy followed by spine fusion. They presented to me two possibilities. To open from the front of my neck or to explore from the back. To open in front might cause a total lost of my voice. To explore from the back was fifty fifty. I would either be a vegetable or die. If that be the case, I said, I would rather die without surgery. Dr. Briones suggested that I should go to Australia for surgery. Dr. Tornilla commented, "If he has to leave the country for surgery, why not send him to Loma Linda Medical Center in California?" They all agreed. Dr. Tornilla sent a radio message to the college president saying, “Force retirement for Pastor Paypa and immediate departure to Loma Linda.” The School Board approved my retirement. So, I processed my denominational and SSS retirements and began gathering documents for the US Embassy.
At the same time I began applying a charcoal poultice around my neck three times a day until I and my wife arrived in California. It took me five weeks to process everything then we left for California. While in the plane I was able to move my neck a little. My sister in Buena Park, brought us to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. I submitted my medical report and I was subjected to many laboratory tests. X-Ray did not reveal anything. So, I was scheduled for MRI. The result was surprising. Compared with the MRI result in Cebu, my doctor said, "You are fortunate, your fractures are very insignificant, you do not need medical attention." We went home praising the Lord. The question is, "Did the charcoal poultices aid in the recovery of my neck bones? It’s up to you. The fact is that I am well.

Yes, every treatment is to be done in conjunction w/ other helpful options. Most every person would say he was eating healthy, but when something sweet and appealing comes vefore us or is served, we can hardly decline, could we? And how do we keep away from other harmful stuff around us, offgassing from house fixtures and all other substances we use. Some or most are unseen and even unsmelled, so we hardly notice theyre harming us. Deodorants are needed, for ex., but some claim we need antiperspirants too, then how are the toxins in those parts to leave the body. That is why antiperspirants are sometimes pointed to as culprits in breast cancer, so i heard in some circles.

I am not saying i understand and practice so much caution, bec. i in fact have back ache now, i know for not watching my posture recently. When i was young, i would sit up straight in a bus while travelling, bec. i knew i had back problems and had less problems in that area if i sat up straight rather than slouching, wc is so tempting.

I have seen it countless times. People claim they eat healthy and they do at times, for maybe even two of three meals a day. But if you eat healthy in the morning and afternoon, but ingested arsenic at night, would you call that a good health day?
Of course I am using a exaggeration, but the fundamental idea of my example remains the same, regardless if it is a touch of arsenic once a day, or rich deserts, or a steak and fries, or a whole pizza pie.
It just more then cancels out the two healthy meals.
Would a Christian conduct themselves in a way God would approve from 7am to 5pm, and the remainder of the day commit every sin known to man, and say they behaved morally that day?
For a diet to be biologically healing, certain parameters have to be set, and the participant must not deviate more then about 7 or 8 percent of the plan.
To put it another way, if one were taking prescription meds, and they changed the formula by 7 or 8 percent, I am not a chemist, but I suspect it would not have the intended effect.
The body, created and designed by God, is capable of wonderful things we sometimes don't fully comprehend or appreciate, but it has to be given a fighting a chance to do what God intended.

As far as chemicals in the home, one can take certain steps to reduce the harm.
Using natural cleaning materials is a big one.
Keeping the windows open for fresh air is recommended. Using a air purifier is another one. Certain plants and flowers can be a great benefit in absorbing toxins and emitting healthy oxygen.
After a while, new furniture stops emitting those gases. Used furniture usually does not emit them, if your using a natural cleaning agent.
As for deodorant, and antiperspirant, I would never use them. Try using natural oils.
You say who can resist sweets? I know plenty of people that do.
You'll get out of your health what you put into it.
What you reap, you sow.

Yes, most everyone says so. I did, but now see that even reearches are mistaken sometimes and conclusions are reevaluated. Salt for example, ppl started to put away plain old salt and used table salt instead, and also took in much less than what we in fact needed. Well, some researches said this again, and who do we really rely on? So many factors involved.

You can rely on good old common sense. God created our food. Man created processed food. Which one do you think is healthier? Which one do you think is more compatible with our design?
Talk to people who have had health problems, changed their diets around, and now are healthier. Lots of them. What more general proof do you need?
Better, do it yourself, and see for yourself.

LOL, mar!! The scoop on poop..
Yes, it is not something nice to talk abt just as the color of pee is, but they are so easy indicators of/if something is wrong with our systems. This gets me to remembering a doc visit when i was in high school. The doc asked, how many times i passed daily. Said once a day. Then he asked how abt pee? Took a while for me to think because i wanted a perfect answer. How true it is, however that so many forego drinking when we do not want to be disturbed while at work or busy doing something, that often leads not just to kidney or bladder problems but other disorders too. Like that neighbor we had long before who worked in a bank and didnt want to get her work disrupted and so didnt drink enough water at work and needed a surgery.

Is there a thread on eye care here? I am tired to search so early.
