I did a ten day fast once, but I put small amounts of lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne in the water. Keep in mind that once you start a fast, the toxins held in your organs are given a chance to purge, and may lead some to believe that the fast is making them sick, when in truth, the fast is cleansing you of elements that could potentially cause disease. If you are fasting and experience any kind of problems, perhaps you should consult your doctor :)

I experienced a curious detachment from food, and found I had so much more time not having to think about, shop for, prepare, consume, and clean up after meals :D I had no adverse affects :)

You are welcome, Danja! Six days is pretty good :) If the condition was constant, I would say stopping was probably best. You can always try again at some point in the future, too. Maybe try the Master Cleanse, which is what the fast I tried is called. Then you are getting essential nutrients and not completely depriving your body while not eating solids. Avoid the celebrity hype around this cleanse. Some do it to lose weight, and some do lose weight; I have known people that have done much longer fasts (30 days) for cleansing and/or spiritual reasons.

Yes six days is ok.But I am thinking of going 20 or a little more .Will try it again soon ,cause body reacts differently in different periods of time .I have heard of Master Cleanse but haven't tried it yet.It is a good idea .
The rapid heart was only that day and lasted many minutes throughout the day and i had to quit. Not sure if i should have gone for a few more days and see if they go away

You most likely need some sodium. Too much water depletes it and it can be dangerous. Water intoxication can kill.
I drink 4 liters of water a day ,so maybe sodium is a cause of arrhythmia

yes i had arrhythmia ,so i decided to quit .
anytime electrolytes become unbalanced, it can be quite dangerous. potassium and calcium are also necessary, in proper balance, to the regulation of the heart. is there some kinda better for you Gatorade? you might need it.

source: i did what you did, and ended up in the hospital for 5 days getting electrolytes IV.
wasn't smart enough to quit. lol

Do NOT do a 20 day water fast. 3 or 4 days at the most is sufficient. And drink Powerade or coconut water. Both have electrolytes..

Dr. Sherry Rogers wrote books that a lack of magnesium causes heart arrhythmia. I have never fasted but I have read that people need to enema to clear toxins. You should look into Living Clay Co. and the book by Perry A-. This clay can be taken internally. After a month of consuming 1 TBSP a day, when I sweat, I get ring around the collar on my back and chest. The dirt needs to be rubbed off. The dirt that comes out is from inside. To buy in bulk, power mall at power hour nation dot com is a good source.

I would definitely listen to those advising you to keep on eye on your electrolytes. Drinking too much water will flush out important nutrients that are critical to your body organs to keep them functioning normally. Here's a good video I recommend you watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae4wZ79GzGU

The master cleanse defeats the purpose of a fast, although it is still beneficial for most people.

You should do a 20 day water fast ONLY after you are eating mostly or all vegan and or raw for 6 months. And then add make sure to add lemon and use angstrom basic minerals AND under the care of someone who is experienced. If you break the fast incorrectly the results can be fatal. And you are going to be very weak and look terrible. Also it is going to take about 2 months after you break the fast to be back to near your weight before it, maybe even longer, and maybe never, depending on certain factors.
Don't even think of working a job the last 2 weeks of a 20 day water fast.
