Thankyou maxwel and Adstar

So if Jesus took our sins how come we're still sinners
We still have a sinful nature. As you progress in your studies and develop a closer relationship with Jesus the subjects of justification and sanctification will come up and put things into a better perspective.
I will add you to my pray list.

So if Jesus took our sins how come we're still sinners
As the perfect Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world, He paid the price for sin since
the wages of sin is death. Those who by grace through faith believe on Him are reconciled to God,
escape the second death (which is the fate of the ungodly/non-believer), and attain to life ever after.

John 3:16

^ Gospel of John is often recommended as a great place to start reading the Bible.
This movie is a word-for-Word portrayal of John's gospel.

Have you heard of the Alpha Course?

There are 10 videos total. I hope you watch them. They could benefit you greatly :)

This study may be helpful, it is arranged by topics. 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Anyone like to introduce me to some basic concepts ?

What I know so far

As you judge so shall you be judged

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone

That's about it !
Reading the Gospel of John is great advice. It's all about Jesus. It all starts with giving your life to Jesus, the Son of God. He loves you and is waiting for you to do this right now. He will put His Spirit within you and help you understand spiritual things. We need Him because, ever since Adam sinned, we have been born into and part of a cursed world. Only the blood that Jesus shed on the cross can set us free.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Hello Lucia I think i will introduce the concept of The Atonement of the LORD Jesus..

The Atonement:

We as faulty human beings do wrong deeds and have wrong throughts..

God is perfect and the penalty for sin must be paid..

The penalty for sin is death.. The eternal kind of death in the Lake of fire..

So without someone paying the penalty for us we all will face Eternity in the Lake of fire..

Jesus who is God made manifest in the flesh.. Came to earth to pay the penalty for all humans who would believe Him and trust that the payment he made pays our penalty so that we can be justly forgiven all our wrong deeds and thoughts..

So by believing Jesus and trusting in the Atonement He secured on the cross we are forgiven all our wrongs and will appear without sin before The LORD on the day of Judgewment and will be granted entry into Gods eternal perfect existence as perfected Eternal beings..

If you have any questions please reply with them..
Yes! Amen! PTL!
This is THE central thing. Jesus did it for love.

He wants a people who are willing to choose Him. We must choose to remain in our sin or humbly come to Him and let Him make us new creatures within Himself.

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

That means we have passed from death unto life. We need not identify ourselves as sinner's anymore, but as joint heirs with Christ. We become part of the Church Bride.

My advice is to start with what Jesus identified as the greatest commandment, which is to love his God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:28-30).

Yes, Lucia. We all need to go to Jesus.

Where do I go next ?
Jesus.

Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

And then you can just sit at His feet and listen as His Spirit ministers to your brokenness and makes you new inside.

Luke 10:
38Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. 40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Praise the Lord! :)
Jesus loves you so very much and He has done so much for all of us. The problems of this life are painful indeed, but now we know there is light at the end of the tunnel and even now we can sense the warmth of it.

Hebrews 10:
22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised 24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Thanks Magenta nice pic !
It is a nice picture if she made it but Jesus did not have long hair.

1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

The covering is hair that a man should have short hair for he is in the image of God, and the woman should have long hair, and if she cuts it then it is the same as if she has short hair being out of order for the authority structure on Earth.

Jesus came in the express image of God so He would of had short hair.

Some people will say but Samson had long hair which was his vow to God but Samson was not in the image of God for that means an innocent nature in flesh, which Adam and Eve were made in the image of God an innocent nature in flesh until they sinned then they fell out of the image of God, and no person was in the image of God until Jesus came.

What happened when the 1960's counter culture movement happened when they rebelled against authority the men grew their hair long.
