Hey guys,
i am new to this forum, so I apologise if I dont follow protocol =)

Anyway, i am interested in Christianity, and read the Bible. In fact i was given a Greek Orthodox baptism (which is child abuse, in Commonwealth law -.-").

I do biology, and am interested in following a career in law. Recently, i read the Origin of Species, and it made sense... it was logical.

I joined because i WANT to believe in god, but i also believe there is some truth in Evolution... is that possible?

I see that the universe is too complicated to simply exist... but i cant see any proof of a Creator. Although i see his Creation... can you see what i mean?

I am 16... in Australia... born in Greece. all that jazz. Very open to the idea of god. but confused.

Please help.

Hi again,
I say nope to both of the theories talked about there.
I believe that evolution exists, but i also think God is needed to explain a bit too (unrelated to evolution). Possible?
As i said, i am interested in this forum, and open to the idea of God. But i don't want this to interfere with my beliefs about evolution.

I explained my beliefs on msn, and i was called a troll... and i have had some bad experiences with religion. But again, i am open to the idea of religion.

Hi Nofacedmage.
Just from your last post, personally I hate the term religion. It has meanings of tradition and rules, tha is not what i see true Christians as, I would hope you come to see that true Christians it is about fellowship with people and with the living God.

Anyway, was drawn to your post because of the evolution side of things.
I teach Science in high school. Personally I have no problem with the concept of Natural selection (Survival of the fittest), But I can't see how we as the complex creation we are evolved from single cell organisms, the chances and odds of such mutations being successful are just to great. Like you (i think) do I see the complexity of creation as being to amazing for evolution. There are plants and animals out there in the world that simply defy evolution.

God is a creative God.
Just my 2 cents worth. God bless and I hope you find what you are looking for.

look at mankind as a whole, and ask yourself ,have we changed in the way that we deal with each other, and has the nature of man evolved? Because if you look at mankind as a whole you'll find that we really haven't changed for the better or worse. Having said that if you read scripture it truly is a guide for having a peacefull life. It helps us deal with temptation, love, hate, forgiveness, happiness, empathy, and our relationship with each other and with God. If you wrap your whole life around science, ask this, does science help .with emotional problems or does it deal with the physical things on earth? Cause and effect of how nature works right?
