one man says to another: "What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . ."”
C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves

I really love that quote; I love CSL's writing period. Hi, my name is Victoria. I hope you all are having a blessed day!

I have some of his books such as Mere Christianity, the Abolition of Man, and the Theory of Man. Definitely an influential writer. Welcome to CC!

Thank you! :) Definitely! Have you read his book, The Great Divorce? That and the Screwtape Letters is a few of my absolute favorite pieces.

I've heard of both but haven't read either. Heard they were good, though. Theory of Pain would have to be my favorite.

I have a lot of his works, I just haven't gotten to read them yet. B&N had these collections of his works one year for like $6 and I couldn't snatch them up quick enough. LOL. And then I got 2/3 of his collection of letters and read quite a bit of them. He was an interesting man.

Yes! It was that good to me. When I told my dad I wanted a book called "The Great Divorce" at first he was "that doesn't sound like a great book" XD But then I shared with him what it was actually about, which is how to be with God we have to let go the things of this world to reach the top of the mountain/heaven. It was really both eye opening and thought provoking to me.

There was a B&N about 15 minutes from me, but it closed down.. I guess it's Amazon for me.

That's funny because my parents thought the same thing when I told them I wanted to read it. XD

I'll have to get it. I need new reading material anyway. Lol

I know how that is. We used to have a BAM that I loved going to and they closed down. I used to find so many bargain books at that one store. lol. Have you tried CBD.com? They tend to have a lot of books at really great prices if you keep your eyes peeled. My family and I bought stuff from them a couple years ago, books and DVD's, and they were bargain but in really great condition!

Haha! That is funny. Do you read a lot? I'm an avid reader! I actually blog about the books I read and even get some books free for reviewing them.

But I warn you, CBD.com is dangerous... you will find more than your wallet can afford. XD I'm always getting emails from them and I see the sales they are having and I just keep wishing my budget allowed it!

I hadn't heard of it before a friend told me about it. ChristianBook.com or CBD.com, is a Christian book/media selling website.

I'll have to check it out.. Why is it dangerous, though? Haha
LOL. Because they have so much you will want to buy. I can't go on there without finding at least 10 things I want to buy for myself or for my friends.
