Hi, I'm new & I need knowledge.

First of all, Happy New Year to all you happy folks.

I wish I started off with a good year. The reason why I joined is, I need help & I wanna get saved.
My grandparents aren't here because they are gone elsewhere until tomorrow. I just faced through a scarred time that really hurt. I was born & raised in a christian home & I have a bible. I'm ready to change and I don't lie. I'm ready to face the hard facts for walking in the right direction. I'm just really tired of living of the way i'm living. I want to find the person who I really was supposed to be and could still be. I believe.

& I'd like to thank a friend of a friends that helped me realize where the right road was.

Allow me to encourage you with this verse found in Matt 4:6, 'Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.' And this is what I thought about you! You are hungry for God and God will fill you!

Have you ever invite Jesus into your heart before? If not, simply in the privacy of your own room, go on your knees and in a child-like attitude, ask Jesus to come into your life. You can follow something this line: 'Dear God, I come to you this day and I truly repent of my sins. Please forgive me. I accept Jesus who died for my sins. Jesus, I invite you into my life. I receive God's righteousness in Christ Jesus. I receive by faith your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Amen.'

If you sincerely pray this prayer (or similar), God hears and you will be saved.

Grab hold of a Bible and make it your personal friend for life. Start reading the Word of God everyday. Remember, if you are hungry for Him, He will fill you! Get to know Jesus. And listen to the Holy Spirit and He will teach and lead you everyday.

And fellowship with us at CC. We are more than happy to know you, to hear from you, and pray for you. You are never alone. There are many wonderful brothers and sisters here who genuinely wants to know you here

In the mean time, be strong and have a good 2012 ahead. One Pastor once said, 'If you do not know specifically what to expect from God, then expect great things from Him!'

Just believe simple as that.

The most basic and most straight forward thing I can think of is this... read.

Some background info: Jesus is being crucified and its not only him but two criminals beside him.... so both criminals say things to Jesus, very different. Read on

39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”
40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[c]”
43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Thats IT, believe in Jesus and his place, as God and that he is who he says he is... King of the Universse and God.

Notice that the criminal who is being reassured by JESUS (verse 43) notice Jesus didnt ask for anything else, like baptism or idk other things some denominations believe... it was just faith. Faith in that Jesus is who he says he is.
