I
I dont think i introduced myself when I first joined so i'll introduce myself now
My names Imogen or Immy, whichever you wanna call me. I'm 18 and am from Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. I became a Christian when i were 7 years old and have been going to Church since I was around three months old. About a month ago I finished a two year college course where I studied Performing Arts. At the end of my first year I knew I wanted to go into something to do with Performing Arts but I didn't know what but I also knew it wasn't acting. In July last year I went to see my friend who was part of the cast for Flashdance The Musical which has recently completed it's first tour in UK and the story, the cast, everything about the musical just really inspired me to go into Musical Theatre, so during the summer holidays last year I started looking for dance classes and in September I started ballet as well as contemporary dance at college. I then applied for around six of the top colleges for Musical Theatre and Dance colleges in and around London and Leeds, but unfortunately I didn't get into a college as the other auditionees i were competeing against for places had around 10 years of dance experience and I were the only one with three months experience. I also applied through UCAS for five Musical Theatre courses but after realising I didn't want to go to University and study for a degree I've decided to apply for dance courses which are at the same level as the course I've just completed. I've already been accepted into one of the colleges but I believe it's not the right college for me so I'm hoping and praying that I'll get into the other course I'm auditioning for in September. Then as of September 2010 just as I'm starting my second year of the course I'll re-apply for the top colleges and hope and pray I've put enough work in to gain a place and a DADA (Dance and Drama Award) which is a scholarship and will pay the fees for cost of the course if I'm accepted as these colleges cost around £16,000 per year and the courses generally last for three years so I'll definitely need that either that or pray that I'll find the money from somewhere. As well as Musical Theatre and Dance I'm a model, I enjoy going to the gym, going to the pictures, spending time with my family and my friends. I help out in creche at Church as well as sunday school for 3-7 year olds and a monthly service we have especially for under 14s which is called 'God's Fireworks'.
