What is a "reputation comment"? Well more important how do they work? And all other details that are probably in a section that I didn't read

The green bars under your name are your reputation...
You get these by getting reputation comments...

They are used for 2 reasons...
1.) to tell somebody you really liked their post(s)
2.) to send them a private message without them knowing who you are... (You will get these from time to time of someone not liking what you said).

In theory the bigger the green bar the better the reputation.

At the bottom of each post, to the left, right after "blog this post" is a little star, next to a triangle with an exclamation point. If you click the little star, you can "add" to someone's reputation, according to how many rep power points you have accumulated. You can also make a comment, which the receiver will be able to read.

I turned off my reputation display because I see it as a popularity contest. You can do that by going to your settings (upper right), general settings (left), and "hide reputation."
