Racism has to be defined nowadays because If I just say it is defined as hate for another race well nowadays it is used out of context. For example, a cartoon police dog was under fire for promoting racism but it doesn't by definition. So I will assume we are talking about hate towards other races. Hate is sin and racism is a branch of hate. In the middle east, they are divided not on skin color but beliefs, so hate will always plague mankind. We must understand sin is still within the church, Christians are in a sanctification process.

We also have to be careful to call racism. Because for example I dont agree with many Democrats but that is the ideology I disagree with not hate towards the individual. But yes if someone is specifically targeting your race and it is evident they hate your race then racism can be spoken against.

It is definitely a problem for humanity. Whites, Blacks, Asians, Mexicans, Indians, etc. I literally had someone tell me last week my race was the problem. Racism exists and the best eradication is Christ Jesus.

The big problem in America is two worldviews are bashing. The majority mostly vote Republican while minorities vote Democrat. So racism can be confused with disagreement over beliefs. Or some even say we are born racist and may not know it, so we must be woke from it.

But also philosophical ideas going back to Darwin, Marxism, and 1960s movements that started ideas like Intersectionality, class wars, racecards, critical race theory, and identity politics. Then Academia, Hollywood, and news media started to promote such ideas. I could go further and explain what all of this is for and why but there are plenty of books out there about this.

Here Meeke Addison and Alexander Hamilton explain it nicely. They are both conservative African-Americans and they explain why race divisions are being motivated.

https://afr.net/podcasts/the-hamilt...cal-race-theory-and-intersectionality-re-air/

Racism is a great sin. And when properly defined we know how to combat it.
It is COMBATED by LOVE. We have to ask God to show us how to LOVE those people that "we" dislike, hate, covet, jealous etc...

Do you care to share what you considered as racist in the chat room and what was directed at you? In the current climate we find ourselves, someone could disagree with Black Lives Matter and be considered a racist. People are losing jobs over disagreeing with the movement for example, such as a principal recently.

Well, I won't go into the details, NOT for fear, but "what happened, and happens" to me in the chatroom. What I don't do with those is entertain them. WHY, would I engage with "anyone" that is waiting to attack me. ...

What I found out is that was hurtful, THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY remorse. There are some "chatters" that try to INTIMIDATE me,... It has been a lot, BUT... I really was NAIVE to think that "everyone loves" that is a Christian.

If the bible says to forgive and love my enemies. and neighbor.. It does not have to include...several examples... I get if I am supposed to love THEM.... I get "all means all" in love.

I will add this too, some have said they have never personally experienced this, well maybe because of your race. But "if they have witnessed it" they have personally experienced it, because as Christians, when ONE hurts ONE... the ONE hurts ALL... the entire Body.

Regardless I do need to say, it is time for the BODY of CHRIST to come together.
If we are DIVIDED. How??? can we draw "all" men unto to him.

To hate someone because "they can't help" the way they were born.
Just as I here in the Christian Chat.... "my 1st day" ATTACKED ... I felt like Gru sent out his minions. I do not mean to be offence when I say that, but that is the VISUAL ...

They didn't even get a chance to know me as a PERSON.
Therefore, what other reason FOR YOU TO ATTACK ME?

MY FIRST DAY.... and since too, however I AM NO COWARD SOLIDER.
I prayed and asked God, to SEND me somewhere I can "have my social online community" .. OUTSIDE FACEMESS!!

This is where he sent me. UNTIL he tells me to move I'm stuck like chuck!

WHY can't we just reason together ABOUT GOD, the FATHER , the SON and the HOLY GHOST.

IF we stick to "those things".... ALL OUR MINDS would be renewed by the SPIRIT. and not polluted with debate, arguments ....

The bible tells us to AVOID those people. AVOID partaking in that "foolishness" how does this BUILD the Body.

It brings back to my heart, how I WITNESSED a chatter being provoked to anger. SO SAD.
When the chatter was ONLY sharing what the WORD of God says, trying to say that what you are saying is not of GOD.

They knew what they were doing .... Once she SNAPPED in the room it was like Gru and all the minions cheered! Chatroom bullies. so sad.

OK.. I had to SAY this, because this is a VERY GREAT chatroom . I thank GOD for a place to come and have PEACE among the Saints.

(You say, how can she just say, there is PEACE , considering her posts... I CHOOSE PEACE that is why)

I am TRULY confused. I do not understand how a Christian can be a racist? Although I have past experiences with racism at the workplace, but NEVER would I think I would be a victim of racism in a Christian chatroom.

I do not understand how I Christian can be a racist when Jesus is a Hebrew. Regardless, how the "world" wants to "picture" Jesus Christ. He was a Hebrew and his mother was a Hebrew.

I prayed and asked God for a revelation, because it sadden my spirit, how Christians can display HATE when the bible teaches us to LOVE. For "me" what was sickening, is when people in the chatroom PURPOSEFULLY intend to target and offend blacks, african americans and democrats.

I am NO judge, but MY HEART is heavy because it seems like they have not taken OFF the old man, but struggling to FIT the new man over the old man. They are confused, double minded. Their lips are far from their hearts.

I prayed, and asked God, "how do racist Christians lift up their hands to Jesus Christ, when he is a man of color?" I prayed myself to sleep, and he gave me this vision:

I saw Christians, "with like spirits" from all over the world, like it was a church convention. I saw how they had prayer, praise and worship, offering, meet and greet..... and after the choir did their selection... And everyone was waiting for the Preacher to come out with the word. It was the DEVIL. The people were screaming, they did not realize they were in HELL until they looked up.

God said to me, "here and now" they are in churches SERVING THE DEVIL.

I pray for my fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord who are RACIST. I pray that they receive revelation knowledge, I pray against a reprobate mind, I pray against the ways of the old man. I pray that they put on the new Man , understand how to LOVE, and when we a believers are instructed to love all and all means all. Genuine UNFEIGNED LOVE!

This is another THOUGHT that just popped up: Spirit and in Truth.
God expects us to confess, repent of our truths, regardless if they are good, bad or ugly.

1. WHY won't the Christian racist, tell Christ the truth to which he already knows and be cleansed of their sins?
2, Or, what about the Christian racist who tells Christ the TRUTH, they HATE, but will not allow the Holy Ghost to teach them how to love?

If you are not convicted by being a racist you have reprobate mind. Your own righteousness is only right in YOUR eyes and the ones who fear you.

Lastly, in the chatroom,
WHAT kind of Christian "sits and listens" or "leaves" when it is happening, insteading of STANDING , uniting on one accord? How can you be a COWARD CHRISTIAN, in these last days?

I am confused,
How can a Christian be a racist.... when Jesus is a Hebrew.

I have "many scriptures" that backs EVERYTHING I posted, "why" should I ... YOU TOO know "this is thread" is TRUE.
Not really an introduction.

As far as accusing others of being a racist, but not providing any specifics or context doesn't really support your claim.

You say you aren't a judge, then accuse people of being cowards for not doing what you think they should. Can you verify that everyone you accused of being a coward was even aware of what was, supposedly, going on? I, for instance, used to sit in the chats, not for the public room, but for PMs, and was often oblivious to what was going on in the rooms.

How can people be sinners and call themselves Christians? When you meet someone who calls them self a Christian and Doesn't sin, please let us know.

1 so confessing sin is all it takes and suddenly the sin is gone?
2 life is a journey. Because a person is at one point in that journey does not mean they are not trying to take the next step. To assume that you know where every persons heart is is yet another judgment against people.

I wonder if you are equally as upset about all sin? Or just this one?

"If Christians could try to do that"
Yet another blanket statement that judges the hearts of others.

People in life, both Christian and non, are a work in progress. If someone is at a stage where they struggle with racism (or lust, or anger, or *insert any sin*) that does not make the person bad, it may only mean they have not reached the point in their journey where they have came out of it. We could go down a list of Christians and each of us could point out a different flaw or sin that we individually think each Christian needs to give up, right now. But that's not how it works. It is not up to man to dictate which sins are the "right" ones to give up first. That seems to me to be up to God.
Perhaps there is something that needs to be learned still. Perhaps that person isn't spiritually or mentally or emotionally ready to deal with a particular sin. Perhaps there are sins that need to be dealt with first.
It reminds me of Christian rapper, Tre-9, who was witnessing to secular rapper Pyrexx. Tre was getting through to Py bit by bit, and eventually Py agreed to be saved. But he didn't magically stop sinning. He continued to struggle. And ended up back in jail, but Tre was there to pick him up when he was released. And rather than badgering Py about his sins, he encouraged him to seek God more. And was a friend to him. And eventually Py got past his old habits and drugs and street life. But not because he was told to stop sinning.
Or even Brian Head Welch of Korn. Similar story. He got saved but didn't suddenly stop sinning. It was a struggle and a process. He would read his Bible, then go get high.

Being caught up in others struggles and sins and making that your focus is actually a distraction to them. It makes their view turn inward, and on their own self and less on God.
I heard recently that many churches teach that people need to overcome sin more than they teach trusting, and as a result people continually to fail spiritually.
Overcoming sin is an effect of knowing God better, not of humanities focus on resisting it. And that desire to resist it, and the power to do so, comes from God.
Confessing sins to God isn't some magical tool that erases sin, or makes God aware of something He didnt know. It's about acknowledging that you see and recognize that sin and the need to begin the work to overcome it. Until you admit your faults you can never overcome them, and that is the essence of confession.

We live in a fallen world. And Christians all over struggle with a myriad of sins. That is life. Some will overcome lust quickly, others may struggle for years, or not even feel the need to for years, but may focus on something else first. And to focus on one's sins and think the sin that you prioritize is the most urgent isn't helping anyone.

If you want to talk about love, perhaps don't make blanket accusations calling people cowards without even knowing the reality of what may he going on behind their screen. I didn't see that as loving at all. Should people now come after you and rant about how sinful you are for not being loving? Or for being judgemental? Or tell you to go confess so you can magically stop? Is that really going to motivate you?

I think you asked the Wrong question..

You asked ""can a Christian be a racist"" Yes.. Christians are sinners and some of them might and probably do indeed suffer from the fault of being a racist..

You should of asked:: ""Is it Gods will for Christians to be racists"" No.. Racism is sin and this it is not Gods will for His Children to be racists..

From your posts it seems the second question was the one you where trying to ask with your first question..

I answered your question with a YES..

But that is in no way me saying that it is good to be a racist.. It's just me acknowledging that a Christian may indeed have struggles with that sin..

1. WHY won't the Christian racist, tell Christ the truth to which he already knows and be cleansed of their sins?
II do not agree with the above.. If we Christians had to tell Christ every time and every sin we sin then we would fail in doing so and we would be damned.. We are forgiven because we acknowledge Jesus message is truth and we trust in the Atonement Jesus secured on the cross for the just forgiveness of our sins.. Not because we keep repeatedly asking forgiveness for each and every time we transgress Gods will..

2, Or, what about the Christian racist who tells Christ the TRUTH, they HATE, but will not allow the Holy Ghost to teach them how to love?
What if it is not Gods will to remove the sin of racism from a person? If all we had to do is acknowledge our sins and allow the Holy Spirit to remove them then there would be sinless individuals walking around on earth today.. But we do not see that.. There are many people who ask God to take away their evil thoughts or desires but they don't have that sin removed completely..

If you are not convicted by being a racist you have reprobate mind.
I agree..

I am confused,
How can a Christian be a racist.... when Jesus is a Hebrew.
Jesus is LORD... He only came down to earth and existed in a Hebrew body for a time.. His race was and is irrelevant to His ministry and Nature..

Racism and Hate..

A lot of people focus on Hate when they talk about racism but i believe there is actually 3 types of racism..

Hate based :: Where people actually hate another group of people for what ever reason..

Superiority based:: Where people simply believe the other group is inferior to there own group by some measure.. These people do not nessecaraly hate the group they are racist towards.. Like a person who looks upon their own Dog as an inferior being.. They can still like their Dog..

Paternalistic:: Closely related to Superiority these racists treat the other group as if they are retarded Children that need their help to exist.. Many liberal leftist have this mindset where they will go out of their way to advocate for special social security payments and subsidized housing and employment allocations for the group they look upon as hopeless Children.. These people come across as being allies and carers and friends of the other group but really they look upon the other group as being incapable of attaining real adulthood and see themselves as the de facto Parents of the other group.. They gain a sense of worth in being the provider parent of the other group..

I see in less something changes. The Christian regardless of personal and political beliefs we are looking at the persecution of the church. It will not matter how liberal or conservative a Christian is. We will be judged solely because of the name. You will either have to recant or take a stand for Jesus. This will be where many of us will have to really learn what it means to love those who hate us. Many cannot quite understand this. Imagine living in China and risking death at best, imprisonment, torture, harvesting of organs, re-education camps, splitting up the families, etc. And now these Antifa groups are flying the same red battle flag as China to symbolize communism.

To love the individual but hate the injustice is hard to imagine but even harder to do.

You said the most important part. To ask God for help. And in less nothing changes, we will need lots of help.

Exactly if we are divided how can we do the will of God.

My mentor is African American and I love him as a brother. He is much older than I and this one thing we spoke about Saturday. We believe God wants the church to not go back to the routine and we need to be out sowing peace by showing the love of God. Of course, this doesn't mean sacrifice the Word but instead we must soften the hearts before they can handle the mature parts of scripture.

I know he doesn't believe the same politically as me but we are in agreement on scripture. And that is most important.

I would go a step further to say that people who do that are most likely being overly conspicuous about their morals for fake Internet points and praise from others. Except that it normally only occurs in front of a camera and therefore comes across as vainglorious and hollow.

To accept Jesus is to accept love. When we accept Jesus, we accept love. It is part of who and what He is. His Holy Spirit gives us love for the unlovely. It is actually good to hate their sin, though.

A warm welcome to CC, sister Tambo!:) I love you and Jesus loves you even more!

Dear Sista in Christ, Welcome to the fellowship here at CC ! Yes I have experienced ungodly remarks myself, just mention the word Socialism, lol. We must face the fact that we will encounter carnal Christians and the hard part is to react wisely. One thing for sure, no hate will be carried to heaven so anyone with hate in their heart will have to drop it. Hang in there, you have every right to state what's on your heart. Also, know there is an 'ignore' button that I myself have put to use. God bless and keep you!

Yeah. Totally agree. We are all different, and sometimes one might joke about these differences, including the colour of one's skin. I don't see this as any different to differences between genders, or hair colour, or country of residence...

It's definitely not a Christian action to hate one's brother though, especially for something so harmless as skin colour.

I've been on the receiving end of racism many times. Every race is capable of giving and receiving racism. My post on page 1 basically says I've never seen racism from professing Christians or heard a group of Christians promote racism using the Bible.

Where I have seen all of this is from non-Christians, the secular world.

There is no such thing as a sub human.
Yes there is racism in so called religions, many have been destroyed in the name of religion.
Being Christ-like is a whole other thing,He welcomed and associated with all,the despised, rejected, those considered trash in man's eyes.
His love sees no color, ethnicity, financials, education: He only sees the souls bound in sin He died for.
Oh that we looked and loved others as He did and continues to do!
