Hi all.

I'm a newish Christian of about 3 months and since accepting Jesus as my savior, it's been very hectic emotionally. One minute I think I am saved and the next minute there are doubts. I am looking forward to hanging around here to connect with fellow brothers and sisters who are mature in their walk and maybe can shed some light on me.

Welcome to the family ….we are all growing and learning, but we are all on an equal plane (statis wise) as sons and daughter of God we all have the same spirit of God ….

I know that doubting one’s salvation can be common among many ….new and seasoned believers …most of the time it’s a fleeting thought but sometimes it lingers and can be somewhat disruptive to a person, which I can understand ….The second best solution is to focus on the Word and quit entertaining those thoughts.

It is Christ in you, and you are born again, sealed with the holy spirit of promise. Focusing on… or replacing those nagging negative thoughts with positive affirming scripture will be helpful.

^ Gospel of John is often recommended as a great place to start reading the Bible.
This movie is a word-for-Word portrayal of John's gospel.

Hi!

Glad to hear about your decision.
I have some basic videos available that talk about that subject. You will need a good Bible, so I recommend KJV.
I Also recommend writing down the verse references so you can refer back to them whenever you want. The thing that will help is to get down the basics about salvation.

How to Be 100% Sure

Can You Really Be Sure?

The more opinions you seek, the more chance you will become confused.
Why?
The Majority is usually wrong.

When I decided to trust Christ as my Savior, I listened to many sermons from many pastor's, evangelists and missionaries. I never heard so many opinions on salvation. It was almost always a confusion on what a person does in response to what Jesus did for us on the cross.
It's not really confusing. False preachers/ prophets make it confusing.
Just read the gospel of John in your KJV and underline every use of the word believe,(th, d, s, ing). Put the number at the top of each page. One chapter per day will get you through it in this month. Then count the total. This will build your faith. Get back with me and I'll check your number.

I guarantee you that this will help you right now.

To your health and happiness!
📖🙂👍

May God bless you and guide you.
You can depend on Him, He never fails.
Yes we can control our thoughts and claim the promises of God.

He will strengthen you more and more.
It is normal to have battles in whatever shape or form, just remember that God has permitted each one of them.
You will get a break in between each test.

The purpose is to make you strong in the LORD and to give you experience that you may encourage others who are yet to be saved.

Don’t despair, the trial of your faith is for you, to hold on tight, until it blows over just like bad weather.

You are welcome! I watched that particular gospel of John movie a number of times in my early days as a Christian. It is really quite well, done, and there are also other versions, and other gospels and Bible stories available online. As a non-Christian, I had a very profound God encounter when I went to see a movie on the life of Christ based on the gospel of Luke, and it was many years later, while I was attending the Alpha Course for my first time, that I finally came to the realization that I no longer needed any more convincing of the Truth of God's revealed written Word. That was a major turning point in my life, and such a relief, after all my years of running from God in rebellion and disbelief. The Alpha Course videos are packed full of information, history, facts, and gospel truths... really well done! Here is a video of the gospel of Luke. It is word for word also, high definition, and based on the NIV version, presented in successive parts.

You Are Welcome! God Bless You
:)

Welcome to the family, dear sister. Best to get your Light straight from the Word (Bible). Lots of weirdos running around in here trying to sow confusion. No fear of God and His Judgement anymore.

Jesus will help you understand through His Holy Spirit if you listen to His still small voice.

The Gospel of John is always a great place to start. John really emphasises the centrality of Jesus to our faith. It was His Blood the made this great Salvation from sin, death, and hell possible. It is Jesus who has gone to prepare a place for us in Heaven.

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
