You can start lots of ways... I find the Serenity Prayer very helpful...

The Gospel of Matthew is where i always advise seekers to start.. It is the first Gospel.

God is longsuffering towards us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to salvation..

2 Peter 3: KJV
9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

God has been dealing with us humans for many thousands of years.. Be assured He has the patience of ... Well God.
