yeah for me atm i am not ito twilight, although i do intend on reading the book. Also , i hate the harry potter films, but love the books.

but i must say i love the lord of the rings ... :D
i have five brothers - wot can i say?! they forced me to watch it when i was like 7 and since then we must watch all three, at least once a year!

Haha yeah. I don't wanna read the books for twilight either because I read an article in my christian magazine how the whole twilight stuff can twist our views on guys and God. Plus there's a verse at the end of the article- do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is- his good pleasing perfect will." Romans 12:2.

Try the Christy miller series. Really awesome books about a Christian girl :) like woah they're good hahha :)

Even though they are fictional, there is (or was) an established understanding of what a vampire was. Now modern fiction writers think they can mess about with the formula and still call them vampires. Personally, I don't think they're doing vampire mythology justice.

Lame's not the word I'd use. Insiduous, evil, anti-Christian, abhorrent, unholy, undead, despicable etc.

But now we have films attempting to show that these vile creatures are capable of holy virtues such as charity. They even supposedly fall in love with Kristen Stewart. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but there's no way in hell I'd allow my daughter to go out with a blood sucking creature that has no soul.

Maybe it's just your North American usage of the word, but for me it makes it sound as though vampires are impotent.
