Hi,
I have a question, hope someone can help. My mother-in-law just passed away two weeks ago. My husband and sister-in-law had her cremated with no service of any kind. She was a good christian woman, my children and I feel there should have been some kind of service. We feel she deserved more. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The service is for the living. Does she have a lot of friends that would want to celebrate her life? Family peace is the other factor... If it is going to cause a problem for you and your husband and she didn't specify in her last will and testiment I'd be inclined to gather with some of her friends and celebrate her life.
