I don't recall seeing those stipulations in the Bible "I see it differently, when Jesus fed the 5, 000" men [+wimmin and kids = 20, 000 +] He had them sit down in companies of 50. I think that is how God likes it, everyone can find a family. God wants us in a family.
I don't see the words of your opening post in the bible either ... I see they squabbled.

I'm a bit odd, I will admit. I see one GOD and Jesus and the Holy Spirit as separate but not worth a disagreement over. The Mormons have been sweet and kind to me but seem to place the Book of Mormon over the Bible. Some Mormons I have met know their BOM very well but they have not studied the Bible. That is not acceptable to me. They see their church President as a Prophet. The so called Christian churches I have been in practice some things that are objectionable to me. I leave that to them.

My hope is in God. The idea that Jesus came to die for our sins did not come around until, I think the seventh Century, If you study the formational years from Christ's birth until about the 8th Century you can see where all this confused Doctrine came from. When Jesus returns I will obey him.

Hi Katia,

Your hope is in a god of your own making.

I don't know where you get your information. But the idea that Christ came to die for our sins came from Christ himself and well documented in the first century. Paul's letters starting around 48-50 ad then the Gospel accounts starting appr 55 ad. Of course these are what we have. Luke recounts he compiled, and Mark was Peters scribe. So their reactions are from earlier Eyewitness sources.

Just remember there are only 2 religions in the whole world. All religions apart from one claim it is you that has to work to appease God. But one can never know or have real peace that you've done enough. Only Christianity says there's nothing you can do.. Christ has done it all, put your Faith in him.

Anyhow, I pray you come to know the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For God so loved i the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

Who told you this strange thing?

This is just not true. Read the book of John. Jesus gave His own life to pave the way for our salvation. That is what Christianity is all about. It is the whole ball of wax/yarn.

1 Peter 3:18
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”

God wants us in a family.
Amen, but He wants us to come through His Son, Jesus.

Luke 9:35
“And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.”

The various denominations are false.
Agree. Jesus never intended that there be divisions in His bride (the Church.)

Just read the Gospel (the book of John) and ask God (there is only one) to help you understand it. You will be so glad you did.
We cannot enter into Heaven unless we are born again.

John 3

1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You see, it is all about Jesus. It always has been.

God bless you and His light shine upon your understanding, dear Katia.

In the Christian Denominations there is so much variance in belief especially when we all use Bibles that are similar. In my wanderings, Judaism and Islam seem the same way, with so much difference in their beliefs. Thinking about all Nations and Kindreds worshiping before God. I wonder how he will sort it all out?
With ease.. God knows who His people are..

welcome Katie,

You do not have to wait for Jesus return to obey him, do it NOW. As for the different denominations, they are doctrins of men. Go to the source, the creator GOD and his beloved Son Jesus, he is the way, follow his lead do not get lost in the doctrine jungle out there.

Peace and Welcome.

1 Peter 3:18
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”
yes even in the old testament;
Isaiah 53:4-6
New King James Version

4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord [h]has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
9 And they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

Peace always,

JF

Why would you wonder how God will "Sort it all out".

He already Knows who's Born Again of the Holy Spirit, and who's just a religious wannabe. Being Born again is a PERSONAL ENCOUNTER with God, and has nothing to do with "Denominational systems", or their "precious defining doctrines".

Huh that’s interesting. Shia Islam thinks all religions will be gone in the end, including themselves. I’ve researched Islam a bit, but most of it has a pro-Islam bias with a lean toward persuading the reader to join.

Do you know anything about Islamic eschatology and their view of the end times?
There is little chance that I will be in lock step with you, though I largely support you. There were things thrust upon me that were sin. I repented as much as possible, and am forgiven. I don't relate my story to others any more. God forgives but others don't. Amen

God is the Judge. That is not my right. I "think" that in the last part of Revelations, all stand before God and are Judged. "All Nations and Kindreds, I think. It doesn't say a thing about Baptists or Lutherans so forth.

I know some of what Muslims believe but not enough to follow them. For me the Treatment of Jesus (Isa) by them is incomplete. I will leave that to God. I wonder how they fit with Rev. 7:9?

That's ok. God buried our past. No man should try to dig it up again.

Yes. We must acknowledge that Jesus is God, came in the flesh to take our sins to the cross, and then rose from the dead and ascended back up into Heaven, where He is waiting for us, right now, to open out heart's door to Him.

Rev 3
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Please don't bark at me. I think that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are separate. Many challenge that and they have the right to their opinion.

I have not barked at you. I have nothing but love for you. I am not the one that hurt you. I only want you to experience the love of Jesus in a personal way. He wants to heal your hurts today.

God bless you, dear Katia.

I must confess that I attend a Mormon Church strictly for the breaking of the bread. I am not a member and won't be. Sadly there are not churches closer that will allow me to attend. So far they focus on my past sins, so not do sacrament but once a month, use printed programs. Where is the Spirit in that? I tried an ELCA Lutheran church but it did not work.

It seems my only other resort would be to do Church on the internet. :(

That is Ok. We can have church here. Your past does not matter to Jesus or us. We all have sin in our past, but Jesus has given us a fresh start. Welcome to your new Church home.

I confessed to my pastor that when I started attending church it was because they gave away free bread and I was hungry. Out of guilt I stayed and listened to the sermon and then helped myself to the bread. It wasnt long before I realised I really hungered for Gods Word so found myself looking forward to the sermons more than the loaves.
