That makes me think of the famous quote , " We have met the enemy and he is us ".... I will heed your advice. Thank you. What I meant by my quote was that sometimes the battle without is a lot harder than it should be because we still are working on the battle within. One of my rabbis always said that if we encounter someone who is really extreme and obvious about a certain sin or weakness , it is probably The Lord showing me how much He hates that sin by showing it to me in exaggerated form that offends me because then I will learn to also hate it in it's lessor form within myself. Sort of a look in the mirror at how I would look without the advantages that God has given me and if I let that weakness/sin go to root in my life.

I try to remember that when pushed to my limit of patience. Take that feeling and imagine that is how a holy God feels when I do even a smaller measure of the same sin.
