I don't fight my natural masculinity, I don't get bit. Others fight my natural masculinity, then it bites.
Masculinity is not gender. Gender is male or female. Femininity or masculinity is shaped by testosterone in men and estrogen and progesterone in women. Brain structure is different between men and woman as often an obvious example most woman are more in tune with the showing of emotion.
Some say culture or environment also defines these traits. As in we find it odd to see a man wear a skirt but to the Scots they traditionally wore kilts while less than a century ago it was frowned upon for women to wear blue jeans.
Culture and environment can only go so far because it is quite obvious throughout human history the vast differences in male and female have always made an obvious line in the sand despite what each culture wears or finds fascinating. Despite the kilts, the Scots we're definitely not mistaken as women and the modern woman today in blue jeans is definitely not mistaken as a men.
So as a Christian we should always ask how does God define man and woman?
To begin which has been said many times here. God made two unique genders but both are created in His image. Meaning in many ways we carry some of the same characteristics as God. In the ancient Hebrew language these characteristics can be seen within the gendered words.
Every word in the ancient language is categorized as male or female. Every noun is either a he or a she, and every adjective and verb has a male and female form.
For instance for God to initiate creation compliments the masculine tone of action. Where as God as the comforter compliments the feminine nature of nurturing. Again this plays to no affect on gender where God many times uses male to describe Himself. Father, Son, Son of man, Jesus (male).
It proves we despite the obvious biological differences are not strictly defined by masculine or feminine traits. For instance, Jacob was described a mother's boy who would have rather been in the house cooking where as Esau was the big hairy hunter. God never frowned upon Jacob being who he was but he judged the heart of his character. Never once was Jacob considered female.
To say otherwise is against reality itself. This is to tell me the grass is neon pink while 99% of the population says it's green while the 1% consists only of the mentally ill, handicap, color blind (nerve cells or cones are missing or don't work properly)
or an infant.
We should never allow the 1% to define reality when reality is self evident for the healthy of age human.
