Jesus is just as much God and He is Lord.

Don't forget....you DON'T know what the Trinity even is....so DON'T try to thwart it....you will just make yourself look silly....again...

Your OP was not that big of a deal to cause contention...........however, you have gone far past the statement(s) in the OP since, and now I find it quite hard to continue in one accord...........

You misread "faith without works is dead........" IF you believe WORKS are a part of receiving salvation.........Works are a FRUIT of our Salvation, not a requirement for salvation............as others do, you confuse salvation and sanctification........

Oh well, I still am ok with the OP's concept of people needing to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.........

Faith comes first, but you show your faith through these things we are told to do by our Lord.
Yes, faith comes first. In a different thread, someone tried to tell me that one has not placed their faith in Christ until they have been water baptized, which makes no sense. We don't get water baptized in order to have faith but because we have faith.

If you have true faith in the Lord you do these things He said we must do to be saved.
If we have true faith and we are saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8) then what else must we do to be saved after faith? Acts 16:30 - What must I do to be saved? vs. 31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.. Good works which follow faith are the fruit, by product and demonstrative evidence of our faith but they are not the essence of our faith and they are not the means of our salvation.

Through your love for the Lord you show it in your actions.
Amen! We show our faith and our love for the Lord through our actions.

If you believe you can still walk in willful un-repented, unforgiving sin then you do not truly follow our Lord.
1 John 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

He says you can not serve both Him and satan, and those that walk in willful sin serve satan.
Hebrews 10:26 - To "sin willfully" in the Greek carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from rejecting Christ deliberately. This is CONTINUOUS ACTION - A MATTER OF PRACTICE. Now we don't walk along our daily life and accidently fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows a CONTINUOUS ACTION. The unrighteous practice sin - (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21) not the righteous, who are born of God - (1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9).

The bible also says we are to run as to achieve salvation,
Run to achieve salvation or the prize? Is salvation a gift received through faith or a prize that we win in a race like we would win a gold medal in the Olympics? 1 Corinthians 9:24 - Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. In Philippians 3:14, Paul said - "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Was Paul already saved or was he pressing toward the goal of still becoming saved?

and one verse that I like to use that some like to twist around is one that is repeated by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;

Matthew 10:22

And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Here our Lord does not say when you are saved you endure to the end, it is just the opposite; one who endures to the end will be saved.

The way I like to look at it, is we are in a saved state that through it we must walk in light enduring and persevering through our personal trials and tribulations, letting the Holy Spirit work in us to perfect us so that we can stand before the Lord blameless.
Some may say that the same one's who endure to the end are the same one's who have truly been saved through faith. Those who claim to be saved but don't endure to the end demonstrate that their profession of faith was merely a shallow temporary belief that had no root. We are in a saved state now...have been saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8). From beginning to end--the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls (1 Peter 1:9) salvation is through faith.

The only way you can stand before the Lord blameless is by repenting and asking forgiveness of your sins, and walking the proper path. But if you back slide we have an advocate in our Lord, that if you ask for forgiveness of that sin, He is just and will forgive you.
We are not blameless in the sense that we are sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, so where do we draw the line in the sand and say we walked the proper path? 1 Thessalonians 5:23 - Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Nowhere in the bible does it say it is acceptable to walk in sin, and when you repent (change of mind) of sins that does not make sin acceptable as some like to believe to justify their not wanting to stop committing that sin.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? The Christian life is certainly not a license to sin.

What we must do to be born again? What must we do?

Jesus gave the answer to Nicodemus and us
.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? [SUP]11 [/SUP]Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. [SUP]12 [/SUP]If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? [SUP]13 [/SUP]No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]14 [/SUP]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, [SUP]15 [/SUP]that whoever believes in Him should not perish but[SUP][b][/SUP] have eternal life. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [SUP]19 [/SUP]And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. [SUP]21 [/SUP]But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

And paul reiterated it to Titus and us:

[SUP]5 [/SUP]not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, [SUP]6 [/SUP]whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, [SUP]7 [/SUP]that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

as with everything discussions drift...but in Christ everything is connected

You misread "faith without works is dead........" IF you believe WORKS are a part of receiving salvation.........Works are a FRUIT of our Salvation, not a requirement for salvation............as others do, you confuse salvation and sanctification........
We are saved by Grace but It seems to me you are saying no matter what works you do it does not affect your salvation. I don't know if Jesus is in the business of keeping non working parts,or bad working parts.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
seems to me your fruit has everything to do with salvation

Oh well, I still am ok with the OP's concept of people needing to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.........
If he is not your Lord someone else will be....

How can you miss the point by so far...Yes you must believe....he who believes is not condemn....he who does not believe is condemn already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Now he show why they are condemn.....because their deeds were evil. and he shows why those who believe are not condemn...But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

and you forgot..Titus 3.[SUP]8 [/SUP]This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

And Thomas was talking to ONLY Jesus Christ.

Thomas' response, My Lord and My God! is the high point of the Gospel. Here was a skeptical man, confronted by the evidence of Jesus' resurrection. He announced that Jesus, the Man of Galilee, is God manifest in the flesh. Thus the truths in the first chapter were realized personally in this apostle (1:1, 14, 18). The Resurrection (a) demonstrated that what Jesus predicted about His being raised was true (Mark 8:31; 9:9, 31; 10:34; John 2:19), (b) proved that Jesus is the Son of God (Rom. 1:4) and was sent by God ("vindicated by the Spirit," 1 Tim. 3:16), (c) testified to the success of His mission of salvation (Rom. 4:25), (d) entitled Jesus to a position of glory (1 Peter 1:11), and (e) proclaimed that Jesus is the "Lord" (Acts 2:36).The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures by Dallas Seminary Faculty.

Isaiah 45:21 (HCSB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Speak up and present ⌊your case⌋— yes, let them take counsel together. Who predicted this long ago? Who announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, Yahweh? There is no other God but Me, a righteous God and Savior; there is no one except Me.

John 4:42 (NKJV)
[SUP]42 [/SUP] Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."

[SUP]33 [/SUP] The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."

He denies the DEITY of Jesus Christ, but not his Lordship. When we became members, didn't we have to agree that we believed in the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity?

Judge for yourself what the scripture says....[SUP]
2 [/SUP]For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. [SUP]23 [/SUP]But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

[SUP]25 [/SUP]For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

[SUP]27 [/SUP]For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

or maybe you like the NIV better
[SUP]21 [/SUP]For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. [SUP]22 [/SUP]For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. [SUP]23 [/SUP]But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. [SUP]24 [/SUP]Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. [SUP]25 [/SUP]For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. [SUP]26 [/SUP]The last enemy to be destroyed is death. [SUP]27 [/SUP]For he “has put everything under his feet.”[SUP][c][/SUP] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. [SUP]28 [/SUP]When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

The point I would like to make here is we see all power changing hands between Christ and the Father two eneities. Then the Son becomes subject to the Father, so that the Father may be all in all. There is no third party. No trinity.

It is easy to get confused if you are looking at scripture through the eyes of a set doctrine. God gave all his power and authority to Christ but Christ will give that power back to God in the end. He came from God and goes back to God

Why should I believe something you cannot prove.

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Colossians 1:16-18 (NKJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Ephesians 5:23 (NKJV)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

Romans 1:18-22 (NKJV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
[SUP]19 [/SUP] because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
[SUP]21 [/SUP] because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Professing to be wise, they became fools,

The point I would like to make here is we see all power changing hands between Christ and the Father two eneities. Then the Son becomes subject to the Father, so that the Father may be all in all. There is no third party. No trinity.
You fail to consider that Christ is both MAN and GOD. AND the Holy Spirit is Both Spirit and GOD. How many GODs? A grand total of ONE!

Luke 12:8-10 (NASB)
8 "And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God;
9 but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
10 "And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.
