Goodnight everyone – it’s been a most fascinating day. See you in the morning. And remember this. If ya cannot be with your friends in person, well at least we have the internet. God bless...

XO Love you…

10 pm bedtime? I can only hope and Pray for such blessings ... Smile. Enjoy your slumber. (Ps): The slumber baby I have used twice is so cute I can't find an alternative to "sublime contentment" comments ... :) Smile.

And who keeps on inviting that baby haha
Sure is cute though J

When I lost my Dad I realized death doesn't just take someone, it misses someone else; and in the small distance between being taken and being missed, lives are changed. There are no random acts of God; there are only connected endeavors God intentionally sets forward that sometimes we don't understand altogether. You can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.

When we say, "God's will be done on earth as it is in Heaven," we agree that all of this is one big monumental miraculous storyline He has set into motion. Father allow me to draft off of Your leading wind derailment and give me Your enlightened heart and mind to do as You will to do. Let me be in alignment to all that is Your will.

And Good Morning Everyone! Just sitting here enjoying my cup of coffee with you while I consider all that’s been going on here lately. J You know how much I appreciate you all – and I can’t thank you enough for all your beautiful smiles, words and generosity, and this is by far the best forum I’ve even been on! So many nice people here! Oh well, enough mushy stuff. You do know how I enjoy that!

See you all very soon, my dears. XO

Clint Eastwood is a favourite of mine also. Or rather, he used to be (the shine has worn off a bit ;)). He actually looks a lot like how my own earthly father looked, while he still walked this world. The fortieth anniversary of his passing was recent...

Any ways, being a long-time Clint fan, I determined some time last year to work my way through his movies. The spaghetti westerns never grow old :) It was slightly confusing to have the same guys he killed off at the end of the first trilogy segment, show up in the next movie as a different character LOL. Quite a few of his movies use the same people over and over again, not just for character roles, but for production (photography, for instance).

Many of those movies are civil war and gold rush era; very interesting lawless times on the frontier. Having seen most of the older ones before, I was not so much surprised to rediscover some of them, as I was bemused to be reminded of what the story line actually was for such as Paint Your Wagon. Fun, too, to realize Clint sings, and plays music, in his movies. When I was younger I am not sure I was aware of such things :)

I really enjoy Clint's "Grand Torino" movie
Wonderfully directed and a fairly solid moral story
and it was filmed on location in a working class suburb
Bought the DVD as well

That movie was hilarious. He was such a surly, curmudgeonly racist!

I had seen it before, too, but had forgotten the ending. Wow. What a message.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Yes, Grand Torino, is a good moral tale
There are quite a few gospel messages in it.
Overcoming racism and bigotry
overcoming past trauma and pain
learning to love those whom you hate
that your local Catholic priest can be theologically
trained but lacking in knowledge of the things of God
that your own natural family can be your enemy
that God can give you a new family

Sacrifice - to save others

I enjoyed it all and agree with you about it having moral quality. I grew up near where the movie was to take place.
