The word says:The love of money is the root of all evil...And people seem to forget that. The government is not all socialists, or capitalists or christians, or jews or anything else but what it seems to me it's the lovers of money and the corruption that goes along with them is the root of most of our nations troubles. calibob

Yes.
So where does that leave Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen and the other get rich ministries?

We all know the countries of the world are marching lock-step towards the antichrist's rule. It's naive of us to think it's going to be led there by a string of Godly men. Mammon rules this world, and we believers had best be careful not to get caught up in it.

I don't mind, what they they call me it's not my problem it's theirs. If they read the fifth chapter of acts and understand it, then they will understand my entire whole political philosphy. I don't measure up either that's why I need the Lord, I don't have the time or patience to explain it. I don't have the enitre bible comitted to memory either, I want my grand children who go to school now, to have have books, laptops, cars, & educations. I admit to being selfish, I'm not willing to give those things up either. They can call me a socialist if they want. it dosn't bother me. I think that we (I speak as an an american) are to divided by politics, man made religons that (as far as i can see) want to read the bible, as if' it is an NFL rulebook!

The word says:The love of money is the root of all evil..
The lesson Christians can learn from this Bible truth is that money -- in and of itself -- is not evil but neutral.

The Bible equates the love of money (covetousness) with IDOLATRY, but the proper investment of money for the things of God, and in the people of God, as well as the genuinely needy, would be A BLESSING.

No - nice try
I have never ever been rich or wealthy in my life, however I live with sufficiency in housing, food, clothes and transport.
Not always the best of everything (far from it).
As a Christian I live modestly. My life is not consumed by wanting to have more and more, and better.
I give generously to others in need; I share and care.

However, even Spirit-filled Christians who ought to know better pursue the dollar and express their blessings and the
success of their walk in terms of material possessions and career and money.
This is to their shame. They just don't get.
The Lord has blessed me! Nonsense, there are plenty of un-Godly unbelieving people who are rich and prosper.
People ought to read Psalm 37.

Wealth of itself is not evil or sinful, but closing your heart to the needs of others is.
Let's read the epistle of James who has much to teach us about this:

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those
things which are needful to the body; what does it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.
James 2:

You might get a response once you list all the items where you will invest the funds provided. And the list must be according to Scripture.:)

I agree with this post!

Are you an abortionist and murdered children in utero to make money?

If you have supported/voted for a person in office (like Obama) you are equal to a murderer or any other president/ official that pays countries to have abortions, like Haiti. Or wants to give money to organizations to/ like plant parenthood. If you vote for someone in office that believes in the right to choose because they will lower the unemployment % or put money in your pocket you are a murder too who's love of money (sin) outweighed righteousness and should repent!!!! YOU ARE A MURDERER!!!!

1. We are saving you from a serious spiritual mistake

2. I don't think you qualify as "poor" (the Bible says give to the poor not to the Cee)

Cool so give it all to the poor. Point is people love to say other people love money and completely have the blinders on to their own choices. Not "loving money" is just under what they are willing to give. Me asking for money isn't a serious spiritual mistake at all. I could use it for a lot of good. I have no problem having a lot of money because I can help a lot of people with it.

Some people do not understand what it means when the Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil, for they say how can money be the cause of every sin which is evil.

If someone rapes a woman was money involved. If someone kicks the crap out of someone was money involved. If someone belittles a person was money involved, and so forth.

So how can money be the root of all evil when money is not the motive behind every sin.

Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity(love in action, and faith and hope are not needed in heaven, but love will go on forever).

1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1Ti 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness(money, material, for their wants): from such withdraw thyself.
1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content(God only blesses us with our needs).
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body(charity); what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
1Jn 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth(charity).

Love is the fulfilling of the law, and that includes helping people with their needs if possible, which creation testifies that there is a God, and of His attributes, which one of them is love, for He provided food, and the means to make clothing, and shelter, so the world is without excuse, and they should love this higher power and people, which is the universal law, love God, and love people.

1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1Jn 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

The love of money is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and needy which is what it is all about, for love is the fulfilling of the law, and if they do not love people, then how can they love God.

But it is true that money causes a lot of corruption, and causes evil, and problems, but in that sense it is not the root of all evil, for some of them that love money might do good with that money, at least once in a while, and also money is not the root of all evil that is is the motive behind every sin.

But in the sense that love is the fulfilling of the law the love of money is the root of all evil, for it neglects the poor and needy and that is what it is all about to love people, for that is how God wants the world to operate which creation testifies of this so no person is with excuse if they do not comply, and no person can belong to the kingdom of God unless they truly love people.

Anybody that goes by their wants falls victim to not loving people for they put money, and material things, above people, even if they do not have a lot.

God said this generation will devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men, so the love of money that neglects the poor and needy is kicking like a big dog, where millions, and billions of dollars is not enough for them, but they want more.

As far as I know that is a rumor that is never been confirmed. As long as it doesn't make you curse and swear there probably is not a serious spiritual conflict. Wish I had a jar of that stuff when I was taking French in the 10th grade. The only word I am fluent in is 'oui'.

Actually the ruler of THIS world is described in Ephesians 6......and MONEY is not it.....

Principalities--->Chief in RANK, principle in rank, power or rule
Powers--->delegated authority, rank, influence, jurisdiction
Rulers-->KOSMOSKRATOS<----WORLD RULER--->SATAN<---god of this AGE
Spiritual wickedness---->wicked spirits

Just as God is in charge with delegated authority and rule under him.....the above and scripture also points out clearly that Satan is also in control of his "ARMY" with delegated rule and authority....he is called the god of this age or world with a small "g"

Remember what he told JESUS when he showed him the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time............
