What if we get to heaven and find out we were wrong about something?

1. A Christian has two choices in life:

A. Obey God's commands to study the Bible, learn doctrine, teach doctrine, witness, counsel, speak out, and minister to others as best we can, and according to our abilities... then find out in Heaven we were each wrong about something or other, because none of us were perfect.

B. Disobey God's command to study the Bible, learn doctrine, teach doctrine, witness, speak out, teach, preach, and minister to others... and spend our lives cowering in a corner like a frightened, useless lump of jelly.

2. I don't know... which of those choices seems better?

3. In scripture, all of God's servant's made mistakes... and that didn't stop them.

God still loved them, and God still used them, and they all had a job to do.---------

M....,

G-d knows we are not perfect.

The Bible guides me to this feeling;

G-d will judge me based on my mental intent.....not a human error of judgement + my actions to overcome those human imperfections. In prayer, do I ask for His help in that effort, etc.

The poster does not see and understand the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. That's the real issue.
You aren't just whistling Dixie! A covenant is like a marriage agreement. On Mt Sinai there was the covenant spelled out, and blessing were promised for being true in this relationship. The Jews take their part in it quite seriously and if you don't think that brings them blessings, just google it for information. We are adopted in and have the very same blessings promised to us.

God didn't divorce us when God promised a better way for this covenant between God and man, the old covenant still stood but it was like going to a new house and country to live with better living conditions. You took the covenant that you had with you, but all things were easier and better.

What people are saying is that God first divorced us and then remarried us under better conditions. God is eternal, we can depend on our God who created us and blesses us, God does not break any of His promises for us not from the very first of creation.

To help us in our faith of sincere performance......we must remember there are only three things we need to do to receive eternal salvation, what are they;

We must repent of our sins.
We must be baptized.
We must live a righteous life according to G-d's law...... until the end.

The balance of scriptures is a most interesting study but, we must not allow divergence of opinions/understandings to rob us of our confidence of compliance as long as we are studious, sincere and diligent.

I agree but there are all sorts of arguments about that last point. There is only one right way, and repentance require that we learn about the kingdom of God so we know to repent when we miss that path.

So what are the ways to live that is in accordance with God's law? What about that we are saved by grace onl? What about the people who believe that salvation is in the Lord's hands and not ours, but what is in our hands is how we think and do so that is what we should be concerned with. What is this under Grace and under law, what about that?

I think it is important that we don't get hooked into these arguments but just go to all scripture. If we just go to a few verses about it we can get mixed up. All scripture agrees and it is up to us to fit it all together and go by that, not doctrine of a church.
