So, we're saved. Now what? Stop thinking and learning anything but what's in the Bible? Um, no. Your post seems to echo a sad but pervasive anti-intellectualism that has infected the church. We are to use the gifts (mental included) given to us by God, not bury them under a rock until the Master's return. Unless, of course, you actually want to wail and gnash your teeth (Matthew 25:30).

what's non-scientific about discovering skeletons preserved in the dirt and putting them together?
sure there is such a thing as speculation. but their existence is based on physical evidence, not speculation. i don't see how to call inescapable conclusions of physical evidence 'mythology' or 'non-scientific' ??

Sir (apologies if you are a Ma'am), it is disingenuous to do something and then accuse another of doing the same thing. You moved away from discussing dinosaurs and started discussing salvation. I simply followed you.
As for your assertion that dinosaurs are mythical, I can assure you that your closed-mindedness on the subject is injurious to your witness among the unsaved. If you're in the States, go visit Ken Ham's Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. If you're in Canada, go visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Even though the timelines that unbelievers assert for dinosaurs are, in my opinion, grossly erroneous, the existence of dinosaurs themselves is in no way harmful to the gospel.

I could not agree with you more. If you find bones in dirt what did you find? Bones in dirt.
Bones in dirt are not evidence of anything. Creationist and evolutionist find the same bones in dirt.
They have to same test, like carbon dating. We have scientist from both groups that went to Yell and Harvard, or where ever.... Equally educated....

I believe that dinosaurs existed along side man. That carbon dating was debunked along time ago.
Further I believe that the Lord used them as evidence of the great flood. Look up how fossils are made. Without going into a lot of detail you need a sudden covering of mud that would not allow air to penetrate. Also the locations of the fossils would suggest a great land Mass rather than the divided continents we have today.
The grand canyon is the most important evidence of the great flood today. Yet people bring the stigma of science taught theroy and say it's not possible for man and dino to co exist.
Who says that the raptures and T-Rex were just eating machines and would just kill all puny humans......man

That these creatures would hunt and kill and destroy everything......man
That this era of time could not support humans due to the environment....man
