Now your just being silly. This seems to be just a game to you. I give up I don't want to play anymore.
if you could see the whole earth from a high mountain, and the earth is flat, then you could certainly see the sun 24 hours a day and there's no such thing as night time.

let's wait a few hours and see if nightfall happens, then.
if it does, it is not possible the earth is not flat.
if it is light outside 24/7, the earth is possibly flat.

simple, right?

you're totally ignoring what i said.
which means you've got no response to it, right?

and these verses don't say the earth is a disc.
what about Mathew 4: 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. It says all the kingdoms of the world.

the sun is higher than any mountain, right?
if the earth is flat and the sun is hovering around above it, and you can see all the earth from a sufficiently high mountain, then there is certainly a direct line-of-sight from the sun to every part of the earth, constantly.

does it ever get dark where you live?
does night time exist?

I thought that it was very much a logical explanation, I was in no way trying to be silly. Even on a flat earth, standing on the highest mountain could you possibly see all the kingdoms of the world. What Jesus saw was history unfolding. Fortunately, he already knew how the story ends.

The devil showed him the world. This is the devils kingdom. The whole world is run by the devil and his demons. That's why it is so divided. I believe he could see from one end of the earth to the other. The world wasn,t spread out as much as it is now.

The idea of the round earth implies that the earth can rotate
can astronauts verify that, since they can "drift in space" thinking that the earth is rotating even though it might not be rotating?

the existence of day and night verify rotation.

all motion is relative. you can't say "rotate" without implying that there is a fixed point and a moving point by which you use the word.

there's nothing special about the topology that either makes rotation possible, necessary or implied.

anything can rotate. disc, pyramid, cube, truncated icosahedron, teacup, anything.
anything can be still. stillness is relative to something else, like all motion. it's not an absolute

um, no, it would be fake if their hair didn't do that.

that's what you should expect their hair to do.

btw what kind of background do you have? how much physics do you actually know, well enough to actually talk about these things?
do you know anything about optics, like how to draw a basic ray diagram? or art, drawing in linear perspective?

how is it possible for Jesus to see all the kingdoms since, kingdom has buildings and buildings can block view that can keep Jesus from seeing other kingdoms, can Jesus see through buildings?

maybe the earth is a bowl for Jesus to see all the kingdoms of the world

anything in orbit would also be in motion relative to the sun. most conventional orbits are faster than the spin of the earth. in the ((relative)) absence of atmosphere there's ((almost)) no tangential drag force to slow them down, so it's not like you step out of a spaceship and suddenly come to an abrupt halt so you can see everything else move along without you.

think about stepping out of a car travelling 100 mph. would you land perfectly still, or continue moving forward, being slowed down by the air and the pavement? when you drop a bomb out of a plane travelling 500 mph does it instantly shoot backwards at 500 mph from the perspective of the plane? or does it kinda keep up with the horizontal movement of the plane, gradually slowing down from air resistance once it's not being carried forward by the planes engines anymore?

does the Bible define "kingdoms" as physical buildings?

I would have trouble drawing a straight line using a sharp #2 pencil and a ruler. :)

If it did it wouldn't be impressive looking at a bunch of old crumbling buildings constructed of bricks made with straw and mud. If I were there instead of Jesus that wouldn't impress me one bit.

it's OK.

according to Einstein's relativity, there's no such thing as a straight line in the universe :D

posthuman, I can never understand why when an electric field goes in one direction, it rotates in some weird direction at 90 degree angle, clockwise while piercing through that one direction

just like at the temple - the disciples were all 'ooh, aah' and 'Jesus, look!'

He, unimpressed. "
not one stone" :)

ok, kingdom can be spiritual kingdoms, with hordes of demons running rampant, Jesus would look at it and be like "eew" unless if Satan is also a crafty liar that makes the kingdom look desirable

ah ha, one of those hidden assumption we make when we read the Bible

Maybe it was alternating current?
