Does piercing of ear and other parts of the face for males make them less of a christian? And are tattoos christianly? If no to the second, why are we allowing young Christians to put tattoos on their bodies and piercing of males ear?
Sounds like you have a specific instance in mind exampling a male having a ear piercing. Is that true or is it just a general question? Just curious. Anyway, This video gives Scripture I was going to give too - and he says it live in the video so I will give you it if you would like to reference the Scriptures in it about this issue of body tattoo's and piercings - I pray it helps you. :)(y).

Good Morning as well to all!

"Not sure" is indeed an answer. But the question was simply a curiosity of whether you know anyone like this personally whom you question as in Christ rightly so right now? Or is it simply a doctrinal issue you are working out mindfully with regards to tattoos and body piercings? No big deal on the question from me...

Work toward unity, and live in harmony with one another. Avoid thinking you are better than others or wiser than the rest; instead, embrace common people and ordinary tasks. (Romans 12:16). My brothers and sisters, I know you’ve heard this before, but stop playing favorites! Do not try to blend the genuine faith of our glorious Lord Jesus with your silly pretentiousness. (James 2:1). Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? (James 2:5).

We should stop looking out for our own interests and instead focus on the people living and breathing around us. (1 Corinthians 10:24). So as long as we are clothed and fed, we should be happy. But those who chase riches are constantly falling into temptation and snares. They are regularly caught by their own stupid and harmful desires, dragged down and pulled under into ruin and destruction.(1 Timothy 6:8-9).

But celebrate this: God selected the world’s foolish to bring shame upon those who think they are wise; likewise, He selected the world’s weak to bring disgrace upon those who think they are strong. God selected the common and the castoff, whatever lacks status, so He could invalidate the claims of those who think those things are significant. 29 So it makes no sense for any person to boast in God’s presence. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29).

O Eternal One, my heart is not occupied with proud thoughts; my eyes do not look down on others;
I don’t even begin to get involved in matters too big, matters of faith, state, business, or the many things that defy my ability to understand them. (Psalm 131:1).

If it is not Christianly to do the things i mentioned, why do we allow young Christians to do them?
What has God shared with you in prayer over what the answer is? Is it an absolute yes or no? Or is it in step with principles of truth that determines each case separate from the other? For you - has it become a no? Or a yes? What is God sharing with you about this as a rule for all peoples then and why - biblically?

Let me also ask - is God ever dogmatic in his approach with people over what He does want them to do? No, He always treats them with respect and gentleness, even as He is loyal to reality and truth. To hold the right answer in our hands is not as powerful as holding God in our hearts and minds then as we love people unconditionally and with patience and forbearance tolerating even bad choices yet helping guide them in love toward good choices - even saving choices.

Should we put teens and adults with tattoos and piercings in stockades to teach them God will not tolerate this? You see my point? What will they learn about God's Character then? What will they learn about our Character then?

(John 12:32): "And I .... will draw all people to myself.”

What do you think Jesus meant by the word "draw" ? How could we apply that to your question you asked - do you recon?

What are you going to tell someone else that does not believe the same as you. I forbid this or that. You can't approach anyone that way. People need to be gently admonished to do right. You'll lead more by example than outright rebuke.

You will only have to answer for the sin you do. If people believe too much differently than you, you may have to break off fellowship. Otherwise they may pull you down with them. :cool:
