Is anyone trying to cope with the heat? New rules? Like me?

I feel like that at times, usually when I'm tired after a difficult day.

If I were to pick a side I would say that I'm a conservative, most Republicans are conservative, and that's the way I generally vote.

Living in Florida you get used to it, what makes it uncomfortable is the oppressive humidity. Even so, there are a couple months a year when the temps are down and the humidity is low. October is usually a cooler dry month, probably the most pleasant in my opinion. Of course, living in Florida A/C is a must or otherwise it would be unbearable. I used to live in Orlando which is very hot, humid and very little wind, but currently live in Clearwater which in on the Gulf of Mexico, a few degrees cooler and the occasional refreshing breeze.

Zero offered wise counsel that I am in agreement with. You should try to avoid these negative thoughts about yourself.

Florida has two seasons, hot and hotter. Currently we are in the hotter and also in summer where the fun never ends. I was just kidding about that last part. When I lived in Orlando I had a in-ground swimming pool with a diving board and a slide. Of course, most of this time I was single and rarely used the pool yet I still had to maintain it the best that I could. Each day after work I would put on my swimming suit, grab my net and dive 10 feet to the bottom to get the leaves that had fallen in. Finally gave it up and pool turned into a swamp. Eventually, I remarried so I had to drain the swamp, clean the sides, and refill with 18,000 gallons of water. it was a real nuisance. I enjoyed the palm trees and the orange trees but did not appreciate the leaves falling into the pool.

I will remember you in my special morning prayers that I say on my knees before heading out the door into the gloom of night to go to work.
