Where did the wife of Cain came from? Were there other people on earth?? I thought the earth had 3 people minus Abel who had been killed. The Bible also said Cain was scared of being killed while in banishment, were there other people????

Incest hasn't always been prohibited. For example:

Gen 9:18-19 . .The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem,
Ham, and Japheth-- Ham being the father of Canaan. These three were the
sons of Noah, and from these the whole world branched out.

In order for us today to exist, it was necessary for the nieces and nephews
of Noah's three sons to intermarry because there just simply wasn't
anybody else anywhere else: everyone not aboard the ark died in the Flood.

Welcome to CC, Frank,
Genesis doesn't give specific numbers of years between every event; just for certain ones. Genesis 5:4 says that Adam had other sons and daughters. Cain likely married a younger sister. As noted in another post, incest was not prohibited at that time.

To borrow from the research of geneticists, the mutational load in DNA increases over the generations. Early generations likely had a much more broad and robust DNA with far fewer mutations, so there really was no genetic danger to incest. Once the loading became significant (several generations later), God forbade incest.

I can see only two alternatives....He married his sister, which would not be too bad because the bloodline was still pure, or he married a Nephilim woman.

Cain married a sister. At that early time in human history it wasn't a problem.

where would a nephilim woman have come from?

here?

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
(Genesis 6:1-2)

Right you are! Keep in mind, not all the offspring (Nephilim) were giants. The giants were Nephilim but were called Rephaim.

all the offspring of who, exactly?

the daughters of the men who began to multiply on the earth?

men like, Cain for example?

Cain's wife was one of his granddaughters?

Cain's wife was his sister of whom we're only told that Adam had sons and daughters. Their DNA was still perfect enough that their children had no effects of inbreeding. That this is so can be seen in the shortening of peoples ages after the flood. Then, shortly after their new ages stabilized, some 7 generations after the flood; incest would have started having distasteful results. They couldn't have begun mixing between the descendants of Noah's three sons, until after the confounding of languages at the tower of babel or we wouldn't still have the three distinct races that we do today.

I suspect that the sons of God that took daughters of men for wives; are children born to Adam and Eve before the fall and as such did not have a fallen physical nature in their DNA, though they were still mortal. Angels do not marry and demons have no bodies. This allows for no one to be physically on the planet who wasn't a descendent of both Adam and Eve. They probably were not kicked out of the garden of Eden, though the flaming sword that guarded the way to the tree of life would have kept them away too. Knowing how people are, I would be surprised if they, the sons of God, weren't hunted down after a few generations or so. The genealogies tell us that Adam was the son of God. No other beings are called son(s), other than Jesus, the only begotten of the Father and the first born of many brethren. We are, after all, the ones who were made in the Lord's image and after his likeness.

You realize that all of this is pure conjecture, with nothing to back it up.
Secondly, you stated that the 'sons of God' were born of Adam. Now you have to explain how a human man mates with a human woman and produces giants that grew all the way up to 3000 ells. An ell is equivalent to 1.43 meters
Sons of God referred to angels, both good and bad in the Old Covenant. Then in the New Covenant, born again people are called the Sons of God. In the Old Covenant there were no humans called the sons of God, because humans were dead in sin. We were not sons of God until we were born of Him

if Cain's wife was a nephilim ((also conjecture)) then she was born from daughters of men after men began to multiply on the earth. this would make Cain's wife either one of his own granddaughters ((not really possible, right?)) or his grand-nieces, requiring for example Abel to have a daughter, that daughter to come of age and mate with a fallen angel, bear a nephilim daughter who then came of age and became her great-uncle's wife. that's *plausible* i guess? but then who is Abel's wife?

alternatively God may have made more people, from dust or stones ((re: Matthew 3:9)) without determining to record having done so in Genesis.

alternative to that Cain, Abel and Seth may have married daughters of Adam and Eve, their sisters.

alternative to that God may have formed wives for them out of their sides, as the Woman from Adam.

LOL You're absolutely right. All we have on that score is conjecture. But we cannot say it as fact, right? You saw the way I said it..."I can see only ...."? Conjecture.

Yeah at the end of the day, we're at "scripture doesn't say"

Hey! Nauga... PTL
True. It is conjecture, but not without some guidance by the scriptures. For example; take our gene pool or the DNA of all fertile people: is under the scripture's description concerning corruption. Rom 8:21 "Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God." Our gene pool like all the rest of the natural creation is subject to corruption or what science calls: the 2nd law of thermodynamics, which basically states that everything decays. Now, nowhere in the scriptures does it say that angels are the sons of God! But in Lu 3:38 we see: "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." Who else in all of the scriptures was made in the Lord's image and after his likeness? And in Rom 8:19, we see all of Christendom being referenced as the sons of God: "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." I won't post it all, but Rom 1 lets us know that at no time has the Lord called any angel a son, rather, they are all ministering spirits that serve the heirs of salvation. Jesus revealed the error of the Sadducees, when he let us know in Matt 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."
I'm sorry, but I find it preposterous that any beings were 3000 x 1.43 meters or 4.69 feet = 14,070 feet tall. The Statue of Liberty is 305 feet tall and a mile is 5280 feet. Can you imagine the fossils?
