Hi again SpoonJuly, I'm not sure that the Bible sees much of a difference in where such things originate.
.........Mark 7
.........21 ..From within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries,
.........22 ..deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness.
.........23 ..All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.
It seems to me that "hate", "rudeness", "unkindness", etc., are all at least implied in the list of things above (things that proceed forth from the heart), because when they are directed at people, they all stand in stark contrast to "love" (which is always patient and kind, and never acts in an unbecoming manner toward others .. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a).
~Deut
.........Matthew 7
.........12 However you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
.........Ephesians 4
.........29 ..Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the
.........need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.

The heart speaks first. What that means is whatever your initial unconscious reaction is to something that is what is in your heart. What a joy it is to see yourself grow in the Lord to where more and more times that first initial unconscious reaction is joy, and patience, and compassion, and all the other fruit of the Spirit.
