We were sanctified by Jesus's faithfulness to go to the cross. Gal 2:16.
Yes,whosoever believes In the WORD of GOD will be justified positionally and by the mercy of GOD we should present our bodies a living sacrifice getting stronger and progressing In our position called progressive sanctification.:)

If you haven't believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ and what He did at the cross (believing what the word says about the Savior), then you are not saved.
Ye shall know them by their fruits (fruits of the Spirit, Gal 5:22-23). From history, we can look at the american indians, and see that , some of them, before there were any missionaries to teach them, worshiped a higher being, (not knowing to call him God) and believed when they died, they would go to a happy hunting ground (heaven). They did not know that there was a Jesus. Nothing could have made them to believe that except the Holy Spirit within them. John 12:47- And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not. None of us can understand anything of a spiritual nature, unless the Holy Spirit reveals.

I don't believe that the scriptures teach that we can justify ourselves.

Romans 8:33 - Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. :)

The same GOD that spoke In the old testament Is the same GOD that speaks In the new testament and since the WORD of GOD does not change, does a person have to try and keep the ten commandments before they can be saved or do they only have to believe In the WORD of GOD to receive salvation and what In your opinion Is sanctification?
First of my two cents would be: "it is the same God old and new testament." The way that same God handles people in the old and in the new is different. We know God does not change but the way he deals with people has.
As far as 10 commandments and salvation there is none, but we dont strive to break them either.
We believe unto salvation now because of the cross.
Sanctification is part of the renewing of the mind.

I think it is evident that Christian buzz words like justification and sanctification are used void comprehension. Justification in essence means you avoid a punishment for your actions, based on the law or rules. Because blood is required for the forgiveness of sins, Christ’s blood is given as a sacrifice for all. If Christ is not holy, then his blood is insufficient. If you believe that He is Holy then you believe His blood is worthy. It isn’t the act, it is the faith given that absolves guilt. Guilt has a metaphysical property that separates us from God. When we believe we are forgiven, the guilt is gone.

This reconnects us to the Almighty and then the Holy Spirit can reprogram our minds. This is sanctification. The world has programmed our thoughts, causing behaviours. When we submit to the authority of the Creator, He reprograms our brains to His design. Then purposes us to His will. This is what makes us the Body. One head, or vine (Christ) and we the limbs, or branches, subject to His desires.
This is sanctification, the process of “cleaning” our brains and actions and setting us in line with His will. If we are in line with His will, serving Him, it is impossible to break the Ten Commandments, because they are just what happens when we serve the flesh.

This is an interesting reply. How does understanding the cross of Christ absolve you from your internal conflict with sin? In the book of Romans Paul struggled with a "thorn in his flesh" a problem that affected his spirituality, yet god told him that his grace was sufficient for him. Sanctification is not something to understand as a mere mental exercise in my opinion, it's the result and operation of God's spirit in your life. You have to ask for it, and you have to "put the practices of the flesh to death" (Romans 8:13)
Sanctifying peace allows the Holy Spirit to deliver the Believer into the death of Christ so Christ life is manifested through the Believer (2 Cor. 4:11, Gal. 2:20-21, Romans 8:2,13, John 14:21). I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me (Who Jesus Is), and gave himself for me (What Jesus Has Done on the Cross for us where the victory was won). Gal. 2:20

If The Believer doesn't enter into the LORD's rest, they die in the wilderness...only a few enter into His rest!

1. First of all the Ten Commandments were not given in order for people to obey them and be saved. Even if it was possible for anyone to obey them 100% of the time, the issue of the sin debt would remain. At the same time, the Ten Commandments (also condensed into the two greatest commandments) are the eternal moral and spiritual laws of God, and have been incorporated into the Law of Christ. See Romans 13.

2. God was declaring those who believed on Him to be righteous ever since creation, starting with Abel. See Hebrews 11.

3. The fundamental Bible principle is that salvation is by God's grace through faith in Him and in the Lamb of God (the Lord Jesus Christ) and His finished work of redemption (Eph 2:8,9), Ever since Abel clean animals were sacrificed and their blood was shed to signify that the Lamb of God would take away the sin of the world. However after the one great sacrifice for sins on the Cross, the temple, the Levitical priesthood, and animal sacrifices have been abolished. Study the epistle to the Hebrews.

4. Sanctification is the process of the purification of the sinner while he is on earth. Sanctification is essentially separation from all that is sinful and evil and obedience to God in practical righteousness and holiness. The Law of Christ is the fundamental rule for all Christians, which means walking in the Spirit and thus fulfilling the Law of Christ.

Hebrews 12:14, “Pursue peace with all, and pursue set-apartness without which no one shall see the Master.

"set apartness" is "holy" or "sanctified"

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.”

The commandments starts out as a tudor. Keeping these in spirit and truth is the least of our service.

Matt. 5:19 "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

John 14:21
"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."

Those Scriptures do NOT teach that keeping the commandments can save anyone. And only those who are saved can love God and Christ and keep their commandments. So salvation by grace through faith COMES FIRST and all else follows.

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

Isaiah 45:22-25, “Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am Mighty, and there is none else. I have sworn by Myself, a word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, so that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue swear. One shall say, ‘Only in יהוה do I have righteousness and strength’ – he comes to Him. And all those displeased with Him shall be put to shame. In יהוה all the seed of Yisra’yl shall be declared right and glory.”

Agreed, we are saved first then his commandments are written in our hearts. We find ourselves obeying the Ten Commandments and even other ordinances that were initially written for our well being. Not in a legalist sense but spiritually. Paul said it best:

1 Cor. 10:23 "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."

Whatever I find myself doing, if it isn't helpful (edifying) I stop doing it.

Did I say the commandments saved me. No, on the contrary Christ came into my life as a gift of grace. Not by anything I did. Just as you have no problems acknowledging nine of the Ten Commandments, I do the same with all ten. Not for salvation, but because I love God and obey Him.

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Actually the sabbath commandment now applies to the Lord's Day (the first day of the week). So those who revert to the 7th day sabbath are in violation of the New Covenant. Think about that!
