(NKJV Study Bible Notes) 12:2 Conformed means “to form” or “mold.” World is the normal word for “age” or “era.” Instead of being molded by the values of this world, the believer should be transformed, that is, changed by the renewing of the mind. Spiritual transformation starts in the mind and heart. A mind dedicated to the world and its concerns will produce a life tossed back and forth by the currents of culture. But a mind dedicated to God’s truth will produce a life that can stand the test of time. We can resist the temptations of our culture by meditating on God’s truth and letting the Holy Spirit guide (NKJV Study Bible Notes) and shape our thoughts and behaviors. (NKJV study notes)

Studyman has left the path of reason and rightly dividing God's word. It would do all of us a world of good if he would just learn the very basic, "rules of interpretation."

Many people are already involved in the religions of the World just like those Pharisees. But Jesus still told them to "repent".

So in my understanding Paul is saying to all people,

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to (the religions of) this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I understand the impact of Christ's Words on religious man through out the history of the Bible. It's always the same.

I must "conform" to your religious traditions regardless of what the Word says or I am a reprobate.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

I thought I made the case for my understanding in a detailed and concise manner taking the entire Bible and the Word's of the Lord, along with the examples He had written for my admonition. I'm not sure, given the biblical history of religious man, that I should just accept just anybody's interpretation of scriptures. Especially "Scholars" given that the catholic Church was the only "Christian" religion for centuries and now many know they were teaching doctrines of men, the same as the Mainstream preachers of Christ's time.

NONE of those things you mentioned in that paragraph, adds ANYTHING to your SALVATION. It is a Gift of GOD. What you are describing is the CHANGE IN ATTITUDE, because our once DEAD human spirit, is NOW ETERNALLY ALIVE. It WILL have a New Nature, that is in tune with GOD, and because of that NEW NATURE:

YOU WILL REPENT WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
YOU WILL CARRY YOUR CROSS WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

IS IT NOT APPOINTED FOR MEN TO DIE ONCE AND FACE JUDGMENT AFTER? (hebrews 9:27-28)


11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw THE DEAD, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOÙND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.


“FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD”


JESUS HAS NOT FOUND YOUR WORKS COMPLETE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD. REMEMBER THEREFORE WHÀT YOU HEARD AND RECEIVED. OBEY IT, AND REPENT.(revelations 3:1-6)



47And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48HE THAT REJECTETH ME, and RECEIVETH NOT MY WORDS, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD THAT I HAVE SPOKEN, THE SAME SHALL. JUDGE HIM IN THE LAST DAY. 49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I KNOW THAT HIS COMMANDMENT IS LIFE EVERLASTING: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
