Do any of you have close friends ?
Or do you spend time here on this website because you are lonely with no real close relationships?

Hi Kim 😊I have one close friend from CC and 6 close friends around here where i stay.... internet for me is when i am working( checking from time to time) and when i am about to sleep or relaxing after work... 😊


Sundays i meet my close friends around here and spend almost 10 hours with them...we go out and eat,window shop laugh and talk endlessly...

and even if i have close friends around here..still, there are times that i feel lonely so i don't think i am on this website because i am lonely 😊

I have a couple of close friends and a lot of friends at church. I consider most of the people on CC, like you. my friends. I love giving encouragement and prayer and general talking with others. and I receive the same from you guys. I hope you are not lonely. I hope you know you are loved and you are not alone. Most people go on forums or online today, no matter if they're an introvert or extrovert. You can log in on the phone in 2 seconds while in line even.

I don't have any real close friends but I do have a few friends from church. I made a few friends here on cc. Its been great making friends from around the world.

Hi there. I am fairly new here but hopefully beginning to make friends here.
I am also blessed to have great friends in my church. My brothers and sisters . We have fun, been through stuff together and have things in common and have found there is nothing like spending time worshipping the Lord together. I also have some really lovely friends and friends I work with who are not yet Christians.
I want to serve God and there fore want to be where God needs me to be. I spend time with my friends off line and I am enjoying the experience of meeting online Christians too. I think it is amazing that we can meet up with people all over the world who are in the same family. Gods family.
I am a shy person, not good in big groups.

My very close friend went to heaven 2 years ago. I don't have any other friends like that. I have my husband but I don't have any close female friends that I talk to on a regular basis or hang out with. Mostly because of me I guess. It takes awhile for me to warm up to people. I smile, talk and I'm pleasant to people but I am very guarded with whom I call a friend. Am I lonely? Sometimes. Do I use this site for that? No, I'm not here often enough.

Looking back on my life I’ve made some wonderful friends in the nature of ‘closer than a brother’ – I thought it was normal…

I live far enough away from them now that I rarely see them – I miss that fellowship and realize how blessed I was.

I guess that one true friend is quite rear. The one you just click with and understand each other.

thankfully we all have a Best Friend who Loves us and whom we can talk to,
who walks beside us and will hold our hand,
if we so desire and seek Him with our whole hearts...

Boredom brought me here..but it is a good advantage. Bcz i can talk to good christian brothers and sisters and learn new stuffs too. I have friends but i dont have any close friend. I pray to have one some day.

When a close friendship works, it’s an amazing joy. Being with our friends is delightful, fun and reassuring. Our friends challenge and inspire us and make us better, richer people.

An unhealthy friendship is where one person tries to own the other, plus being jealousy & competition.

However much we like our friends, we do not have exclusive rights to them. Our friends must be free to be themselves, and to make new friends as well.

Equality is also really important. Equal relationships are where both sides give the same value to themselves and the other.

An unequal friendship might be where I say or believe, "I’m so good and you’re so stupid," or “I’m so awful and you’re so great for putting up with me.”

But we must be very careful the kind of persons we bring into our lives as close friends.

Even Jesus had some friends that he was closer to than others.

Luke 8:51-52 And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child. And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, "Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping."

Mark 9:2-3 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them.

Friends come and go for me or they really want something nothing else.

My best friend is my wife. I did met her on this site though.

Lord, I Praise your name for the people who responded that they have close friends. I thank you Lord they have close friends. Then Lord, I pray that everyone that responded to my thread that stated they don't have any close friends I ask You Father God to please bring them at least 1 special, lasting, close friend they can connect with.
