OK sooo.. I know this is kind of a weird question but I need a serious answer.
Maybe I better give a little backstory first. 5 years ago, in my old apartment, I had a WICKED f-l-e-a infestation. I had a big laundry bag that held a lot of plastic grocery bags hanging on the back of my bedroom door. The BR is where the majority of the f-l-e-a-s were. I set off bug bombs 3 or 4 separate times, and the bug guy even came out and sprayed twice.
Fast forward to now. I still have that bag full of bags. It's been in the closet of my new apartment for 5 years, getting moved around occasionally. BUT, a few days ago, I took all the grocery bags out of it, and threw that bag away.
My question is, can/could fleas have hidden in there and survived for 5 years? I'm pretty sure they would've gotten out long before I emptied the bag. I know they like darkness and need moisture.
I'm kind of wondering if THAT is what bit me yesterday. I don't have a cat, and I didn't get bit until after I did that with the bag, but I also had my windows open too so it COULD have been a biting midge fly.. They're virtually invisible and can easily come through a screen or the cracks around it..
