John 3:16 King James Version (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 4:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Ephesians 4:30-32 King James Version (KJV)
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Acts 16:30 King James Version (KJV)
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Acts 13:39 King James Version (KJV)
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

1 John 3:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Romans 7 King James Version (KJV)
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

Let me explain these verses to you and we'll see if you're a Pharisee following a works/Lordship salvation/Calvinist Trying to be justified by YOUR works ie turning from sins ie following the Law and are not saved.

Romans 3:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

John 3:36 King James Version (KJV)
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 3:36 Says HATH (as in presently) EVERLASTING LIFE (Not temporal or probationary). Jesus also says in John 3:16 that the believers SHOULD NOT PERISH (in Hell) but have EVERLASTING LIFE. In other verses its NEVER PERISH. The Problem is you dont BELIEVE this you think you can lose salvation or have to do "good works" to earn salvation which btw is called a FREE GIFT (You cannot earn a gift).

Alot of people believe that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross FOR OUR SINS wasnt enough and they have to help him out by "living right" that is trampling the blood underfoot basically saying his death accomplished nothing and is complete unbelief. Adding works(filthy rags) to grace is unbelief.

Galatians 5:4 King James Version (KJV)
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Romans 11:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

The Gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. To believe in vain is to deny the Resurrection or add works for salvation. We SHOULD live a life pleasing to God after salvation. There is a difference from salvation and servitude and God will chastise his disobedient children even unto sleep (physical death) but will never cast his children to hell. Look at the suffering the prodigal SON had to go through. Was the father still his father? Duh

You must be born again. Not according to the flesh (work or behavior change) but born of the Spirit. Born of God. How? The moment you BELIEVE the Gospel God imputes HIS righteousness to your account and being sealed with the Holy Spirit UNTIL THE DAY OF REDEMPTION btw not until the day you sin.

Now every verse that condemns people based on their sins are for unbelievers (NOT SAVED BELIEVERS). Remember one born of God CANNOT sin. That is the NEW CREATURE but we still have the flesh remember when Paul says: Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

1 Corinthians 15:50 King James Version (KJV)
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

This is why you need to be born again (spiritual birth) by BELIEVING the Gospel and the NEW CREATURE CANNOT SIN.

Believe on Christ for ETERNAL LIFE depart from sin for SERVITUDE. If you're trusting in your works plus Christ you're an unbeliever, if your looking at the outward behavior as proof of salvation you're an unbeliever, if you think you have to do anything other that trust Christ alone for salvation you're an unbeliever.

Sin doesn't send you to hell Unbelief does. Get a KJV Bible bc if Satan wanted to attack and confuse people on salvation he'd go straight for the word. Believe the Gospel and be saved Today. ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED IS BIBLICAL. God bless and study. 2 timothy 2:15.

1 John 5:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

John 6:28-29,28 So they said to Him, “What should we do to work the works of the Mighty One?” יהושע answered and said to them, “This is the work of the Mighty One, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Acts 7:37-38, “This is the Mosheh who said to the children of Yisra’yl, ‘יהוה your Mighty One shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear.’ This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Messenger who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received the living Words to give to us.”

John/Yahanan 5:46-47, "For had you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, for he wrote about Me*. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

*Mosheh wrote:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, “I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it.”

"listen" is word #8085 - שָׁמַעshama` {shaw-mah'}

Brown-Driver-Briggs (Old Testament Hebrew-English Lexicon) A primitive root; to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively to tell, etc.)

Hebrew Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar) - 1) to hear, listen to, obey

John/Yahanan 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

Acts 3:19-23, “Repent therefore and turn back, for the blotting out of your sins, in order that times of refreshing might come from the presence of the Master, and that He sends יהושע Messiah, pre-appointed for you, whom heaven needs to receive until the times of restoration of all matters, of which the Mighty One spoke through the mouth of all His set-apart prophets since of old. For Mosheh truly said to the fathers, ‘יהוה your Mighty One shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear according to all matters, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every being who does not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.”

John 5:43, “I have come in My Father's Name, but you do not follow Me. Let another come in his own name; him you will follow.”

True faith allows Yah to guide:

Psalm 25:8-10, “Good and upright is יהוה: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of יהוה are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.”

Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil.”

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you”

True faith then walks in the path the Most High guides us to:

Hebrews 11, By belief they performed an action;

11:1, "And belief is the substance of what is expected, the proof of what is not seen.

11:2, "For by this the elders obtained witness.

11:3, "By belief, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of YHWH, so that what is seen was not made of what is visible."

11:4, "By belief, Heḇel offered to Yah a greater sacrifice offering than Qayin, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, Yah witnessing of his gifts. And through it, having died, he still speaks.

11:5, "By belief, Ḥanoḵ was translated so as not to see death, “and was not found because Yah had translated him.” (Gen 5:24) For before his translation he obtained witness, that he pleased Yah.

11:6, "But without belief it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.

11:7, "By belief, Noaḥ, having been warned of what was yet unseen, having feared, prepared an ark to save his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to belief.

11:8, "By belief, Aḇraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

11:9, "By belief, he sojourned in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Yitsḥaq and Ya‛aqoḇ, the heirs with him of the same promise,"

11:10, "for he was looking for the city having foundations, whose builder and maker is Yah.

11:11, "By belief also, Sarah herself was enabled to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the normal age, because she deemed Him trustworthy who had promised.

11:17, "By belief, Aḇraham, when he was tried, offered up Yitsḥaq, and he who had received the promises offered up his only brought-forth son,

11:20, "By belief, Yitsḥaq blessed Ya‛aqoḇ and Ěsaw concerning that which was to come.

11:21, "By belief, Ya‛aqoḇ, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Yosĕph, and did reverence on the top of his staff.

11:22, "By belief, Yosĕph, when he was dying, made mention of the outgoing of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and gave orders concerning his bones.

11:23, "By belief, Mosheh, having been born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a comely child, and were not afraid of the sovereign’s command. (Exo 2:2)

11:24, "By belief, Mosheh, having become great, refused to be called the son of the daughter of Pharaoh,"11:25, "choosing rather to be afflicted with the people of Yah than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time,"11:26, "deeming the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures in Mitsrayim, for he was looking to the reward.

11:27, "By belief, he left Mitsrayim, not fearing the wrath of the sovereign, for he was steadfast, as seeing Him who is invisible.

11:28, "By belief, he performed the Pĕsaḥ and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the first-born should touch them.

11:29, "By belief, they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, and when the Mitsrites tried it, they were drowned.

11:30, "By belief, the walls of Yeriḥo fell, having been surrounded for seven days.

11:31, "By belief, Raḥaḇ the whore did not perish with those who did not believe, having received the spies with peace.

11:33, "who through belief, overcame reigns, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,"11:34, "quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in battle, put foreign armies to flight."11:35, "Women received back their dead by resurrection. And others were tortured, not accepting release, to obtain a better resurrection."11:36, "And others had trial of mockings and floggings and more, of chains and imprisonment."11:37, "They were stoned, they were tried, they were sawn in two, they were slain with the sword. They went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being in need, afflicted, mistreated,”

11:34, "quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in battle, put foreign armies to flight.

11:35, "Women received back their dead by resurrection. And others were tortured, not accepting release, to obtain a better resurrection.

11:36, "And others had trial of mockings and floggings and more, of chains and imprisonment.

11:37, "They were stoned, they were tried, they were sawn in two, they were slain with the sword. They went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being in need, afflicted, mistreated,

11:38, "of whom the world was not worthy – wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes of the earth.

11:39, "And having obtained witness through the belief, all these did not receive the promise,

(11:13, "In belief all these died, not having received the promises, but seeing them from a distance, welcomed and embraced them, and confessed that they were aliens and strangers on the earth.)

11:40, "YHWH having provided what is better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us."

Yes they may of fell into error since works salvation is so prevalent
None are saved by their works, however;

Does true faith obey?

and

Is the end times problem too much obedience or too much iniquity (anomia)?

Your mixing Salvation with Servitude. Look at the workers of iniquity that Jesus NEVER KNEW! They had mighty works but never did the will of the Father which is: to BELIEVE on the one he sent.

I was having this discussion with my sister and her husband, and eventually the conversation ended up going in the licentiousness direction. The license to sin point, to say that grace is no license to sin (and it isn't). Its funny because this question that even the Apostle Paul addressed can only be brought up with the true Gospel, a gospel of grace and not works. As I once read, how could this question of sinning because of grace arise if the preacher says your sins will lead you to Hell? No, it could only be brought up if His grace is sufficient, and the Gospel is preached, revealing our complete dependence on Christ and Him crucified.

So seeking to hear and obey the One Sent is what makes Him rejecy you?

Hmm seems to be the oppisite of what Scripture says BELIEVE ON THE ONE SENT: https://christianchat.com/threads/the-problem-is-you-dont-believe.179144/post-3703237

Deut 18:18-19 is the COmmand to "believe on the one sent" and acts 7:37-38 and 3:19-23 quote and uphold that.

Also you did not answer my questions, you just basically said doing His will/being a servant is wrong...

1 Peter 2:16, “as free, yet not using your freedom as a cloak for evil, but as servants of the Mighty One.”

John 12:25-26, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life shall lose it, and he who hates his life in this world shall preserve it for everlasting life." Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

Ohh and Mat 7?

Mat 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me; Master! Master! will enter into the Kingdom of YHWH, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day; Master! Master! Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your Name performed many wonderful works? But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity.”

“practice” is word #G2038 Strong's Concordance - ergazomai: I work, trade, do, Original Word: ἐργάζομαι, Part of Speech: Verb, Transliteration: ergazomai, Phonetic Spelling: (er-gad'-zom-ahee), Short Definition: I work, trade, do, Definition: I work, trade, perform, do, practice, commit, acquire by labor.

“iniquity” is word #G458 Strong's Concordance - anomia, lawlessness, Short Definition: lawlessness, iniquity, Definition: lawlessness, iniquity, disobedience, sin

"iniquity" is: #0458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} from G0459

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
1) the condition of without law 1a) because ignorant of it1b) because of violating it, 2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

Mat 24:12, "And because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold."

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

Habakkuk 2:4, "Behold the proud, his soul is not right in him; but the just will live by faith."

Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.”

John 8:24, “Therefore I said to you that you shall die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.”

Hebrews 5:9, “And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting salvation to all those obeying Him.”

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.”

Yeah grace is not a licence to sin bc then sin would be lawful but Jesus did pay for the sins of the world and all OUR sin were future so there is no sin to pay for the only sin that cannot be forgiven is unbelief. A saved person can live an outrageous life of sin KNOWING they will go to heaven regardless but they will have a miserable life and God may even decide to chasten unto sleep (physical death) for shaming his name but once you BELIEVE the gospel God will never cast you out.

SO are you impying im "proud" sees a very quick judgment to make, are you sure you are judging correctly, especially since my focus is on being a bond-servant of the Messiah? Are those who seek to follow Him thus "proud?" Seems to me the oppisite. A servant is lower than his Master...

I believe all that the Messiah said, not just some parts. What is "believing" is it simply believe He existed, the He is the Messiah? If one believes will they actually follow Him? There are many many words of Messiah that He says to foolow Him, seek His will, do not conform to the world, His sheep hear His voice and follow, etc. Are we then to ignore all these passages because we have a single verse that says believe? Or are we to understand them all and take them all unto out heart? If one believes he will do, if one believes the MEssiah is the sent one we must shamah (hear and obey) that one with belief will do.

I think if one believes:

John 6:28-29,28 So they said to Him, “What should we do to work the works of the Mighty One?” יהושע answered and said to them, “This is the work of the Mighty One, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

They will follow:

John 8:51 “Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone guards My Word he shall never see death at all.”

Matthew 10:37-39, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 “And he who does not take up his stake and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 “He who has found his life shall lose it, and he that has lost his life for My sake shall find it.”

Matthew 16:24-27, “Then יהושע said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his stake, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it. For what is a man profited if he gains all the world, and loses his own life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Aḏam is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.”

John/Yahanan 10:27-30, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; neither will any man snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand: I and My Father are in accord."

Can one the beleives not actually do what the Messiah says? Is this not the message of James 2? That while works don;t save true faith does His will?

What is your point here? 😊
I think the verses speak for themselves.:

"just will live by faith."

without faith it is impossible to please Him

if you do not believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.”

He became the Causer of everlasting salvation to all those obeying Him.”

the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him."

This passage sums it up to me:

James 2:22, "Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?"

This is talkingabout Abraham, how he had faith anf was to offer his son on the altar

This is the James passage for context and below it I will post relevant verses concening Abraham's faith and works " the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected"

James 2:14-26, “14 My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. 15, "And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, 16, "but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it? 17, "So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. 18, "But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. 19, "You believe that Yah is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! 20, "But do you wish to know, O empty man, that the belief without the works is dead? 21, "Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar? 22, "Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected? 23, "And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Yah, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And He called him, “he who loves Yah. 24, "You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. 25, "In the same way, was not Raḥaḇ the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.”

Genesis 15:4-6, "And see, the word of יהוה came to him, saying, “This one is not your heir, but he who comes from your own body is your heir. And He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So are your seed. And he believed in יהוה, and He reckoned it to him for righteousness."

Works:

Genesis 26:4-5, “And I shall increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I shall give all these lands to your seed. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because Aḇraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge: My commands, My laws, and My Torah.”

Belief + Works:

James 2:21-22, “Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar? Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?”

Belief + Works:
Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

“By belief, Aḇraham obeyed”

Hebrews 11
8, “By belief, Aḇraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

9, By belief, he sojourned in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Yitsḥaq and Ya‛aqoḇ, the heirs with him of the same promise,"

10, "for he was looking for the city having foundations, whose builder and maker is Yah.

17, By belief, Aḇraham, when he was tried, offered up Yitsḥaq, and he who had received the promises offered up his only brought-forth son.”

Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.”

Hebrews 5:9, “And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting salvation to all those obeying Him.”

Hebrews 11:8, "By belief, Aḇraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going."11:9, "By belief, he sojourned in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Yitsḥaq and Ya‛aqoḇ, the heirs with him of the same promise,"11:10, "for he was looking for the city having foundations, whose builder and maker is Yah."11:11, "By belief also, Sarah herself was enabled to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the normal age, because she deemed Him trustworthy who had promised."11:12, "And so from one, and him as good as dead, were born as numerous as the stars of the heaven, as countless as the sand which is by the seashore. "11:13, "In belief all these died, not having received the promises, but seeing them from a distance, welcomed and embraced them, and confessed that they were aliens and strangers on the earth. 11:14, "For those who speak this way make it clear that they seek a fatherland."11:15, "And yet, if they had indeed kept remembering that place from which they had come out, they would have had the chance to return."11:16, "But now they long for a better place, that is, a heavenly. Therefore Yah is not ashamed to be called their Strength, for He has prepared a city for them."11:17, "By belief, Aḇraham, when he was tried, offered up Yitsḥaq, and he who had received the promises offered up his only brought-forth son,"11:18, "of whom it was said, “In Yitsḥaq your seed shall be called, 11:19, "reckoning that Yah was able to raise, even from the dead, from which he received him back, as a type."

Yeah grace is not a licence to sin bc then sin would be lawful but Jesus did pay for the sins of the world and all OUR sin were future so there is no sin to pay for the only sin that cannot be forgiven is unbelief. A saved person can live an outrageous life of sin KNOWING they will go to heaven regardless but they will have a miserable life and God may even decide to chasten unto sleep (physical death) for shaming his name but once you BELIEVE the gospel God will never cast you out.
the strawman of Gods grace being a license to sin

ignores not only the gospel as a whole but also His chastening (He obviously doesn't chasnten His own for walking in the spirit)

works salvationists will say things like "well if youre saying we arent kept saved by our own walk thats like saying you can sin all you want"

which ignores the new heart and desires we are given....

no born again believer WANTS sin

we as new creatures want righteousness
....

but our flesh is weak and desires its own pleasure

that is why out of LOVE for Him who loved us first while we were yet sinners (not having the imputed righteousness of Jesus which is by grace through faith..... a gift not reward) we being made new examine ourself to see if we are walking according to the spirit

30 fruit
60 fruit
100 fruit

all saved equally

but not all equally fruitful

that revolving door salvation is one horrible hole to fall in for any still being blown about by every wind of doctrine not yet coming to the unity of faith
