You can never know if you are in last days or not.

Because the situation changes. 400 AD was a bad situation for a church, medieval era was a bad situation, reformation was better, now we are getting into a bad situation in EU, but its getting better for Asia etc.

The world can last for millions of years or it can end in 100 years. We cannot know.
We can surely know, read the bible.

Nope but let he that has wisdom, let them calculate it. The 70 week prophesy was a prophesy until the very end.
There is no verse in the Bible saying that we can calculate the time of Jesus' return. Actually, the opposite verse is there.

There shouldn't be any verses that tells anyone to do that because Jesus is and was and is to come the Almighty- meaning that every day, He is coming- but there is a verse that tells us to calculate the end of age.

True for those who realize that Jesus is not coming back as an individual entity but as the kingdom of God which no one could point out "..look, there it is or here it is...."

There are 2 opposed paradigms. Calvinism and Armenianism. Notice they directly oppose on each of the 5 points. Each has a site defending each point in a lengthy statement backed up with scripture references. Notice losing salvation is point 5 of Arminianism. There are both on this site so expect these differences of opinion since all are outside of the creeds. Personally I have a Calvinist aka Reformed viewpoint. Even so I agree to disagree with my fellow Christians the Armenians.

Quinquarticular Controversy
The diametrically opposed Calvinist and Armenian 5 points

Reformed/Calvinism
TULIP
1. Total depravity
2. Unconditional election
3. Limited atonement
4. Irresistible grace
5. Perserverance of the Saints

Armenianism
1. Free will or Human ability
2. Conditional election
3. Universal Redemption or General Atonement
4. The Holy Spirit can be Effectually Resisted
5. Falling from Grace

For a deeper discussion of the differences go to these web sites,

https://www.gotquestions.org/Calvinism-vs-Arminianism.html

Arminianism vs Calvinism Controversial Passages
https://www.xenos.org/essays/calvinism-arminianism-controversial-passages

There are denominations adhering to Calvinism, Arminianism, and parts of each creating a spectrum of different views of these issues.

and then there are neither, like myself

sometimes you just have to allow the Bible to speak for itself without labelling

I dont qualify for arminians or calvinism either. I dare anyone to prove limited atonement to me based on God wanting ALL men to be saved, telling us to pray for ALL men. The only limping excuse i have heard from calvinists is that it says to pray for Kings and those in power... as if that somehow makes it mean ALL KINDS of people instead of ALL men...

Titus 2:11
1 Timothy 2:4
1 john 2:2

L of TULIP refuted, the entire house of cards domino theology destroyed. NEXT.

The vast majority of people who call themselves Christians believe that Jesus could come any second, any minute, any hour, any day, any week, any month. I disagree and here is why.

YOU are not ready. And when I say YOU I don't mean you as an individual, I mean you as part of the universal church from which emerges the Bride of Christ.

What do we see when we look at the church today?

First we see division. Denominations are in competition with each other based on doctrines. They fail to unite to influence towns and cities and states and countries with the gospel. Denominations and doctrinal disagreements are Satan's greatest tool to keep the church divided.

Next we see sin. Yes, the church is full of the same sins found in the world. No wonder the world mocks the church when it is full of the same sins it judges the world for committing.

Another big problem is that people who think of themselves as saints are living the same way as sinners. It's every man for themself and keeping up with the Jonses. "Christian" life is all about trading up to a newer and better and more expensive home or car or cell phone or LED TV or etc. It certainly isn't about sharing all things and not seeking possessions and the pleasures they bring.

Finally the church is utterly failing to realize its earthly responsibility to show the world what life in and with God is all about. For God so loved the world that He sent his Son, Jesus, to save it. This is the ultimate task of Jesus, i.e. to save this world, and the plan is to do this using the church.

Jesus is not coming back to marry a dirty slut lying in a gutter cowering in fear of persecution and begging to be rescued. He is returning to marry a glorious Bride who is standing tall wearing dazzling robes of righteousness which represent good works. She is an overcomer and a conqueror. She is without spot (sinless) and without wrinkle. This word wrinkle comes from a Greek verb meaning to rescue and with the prefix "a" means not needing to be rescued. Wrinkle is a terrible translation.

I believe it will be several years before Jesus can turn His church around and get it headed in the right direction. This will be the reason for the big worldwide economic collapse that's coming. He has to shake up the world and especially those who claim to follow Him.
Great post. I pretty much agree with all you have written here.

The day of the Lord, when he shakes the earth and heavens (Hebrews 12:26-27), and causes a great falling away of many who currently think they believe in Christ, leaving those who in truth do believe in Christ and His Way has to occur prior to His return.

Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

That age has ended in 33/70 AD.

Do you mind showing how you arrived at 33/70AD?
Easily. The New covenant, the destruction of the temple, the end of the old, Jewish, shadowy age of the Law and Israel. The age of "nations", the age of Christ, has begun.

Exactly as Daniel prophecised with his 70 weeks. If you do not want to say that in 490 years of Daniel there is 2,000 years gap, lol.

Christ will return when God the Father directs Him to return. The timing is entirely in God's hands not ours.

Unless there is going to be a third temple . . .

No, it will not affect anything. There is no theological basis for the third temple. God has no use for that. He does not want animal sacrifices anymore.
Where will the abomination of desolation take place? Please don't say it happened by Antiochus Epiphanes when he interrupted the temple sacrifices between 168 B.C. and 165 B.C.

In the Tribulation, the temple is desecrated and can no longer be used. I believe even you believe that it was still in use as late as 70 A. D.

Was Jesus referring to 168 BC and 165 BC?

In 70 AD. Jerusalem and its temple were desolated, "stone was not left on stone", metaphorically. It was the worst masacre of Jews, Christ said to his disciples to run when they will see its coming.
