I have been thinking about the Characters in the bible, and about Jesus, alot here lately. I have been feeling claustrophobic and lonely at the same time. I realized even Jesus had to get away from the crowds sometimes. We all need a break and to recharge.

My dream Get-Away would be some place full of majestic beauty. ( eye of the beholder I know) I would love to go somewhere in the mountains, with alot of trees, lakes, rivers, and water falls. I love water falls. Go explore every trail, go canoeing on one of the rivers, taking photos of the beauty around me, cook over a fire, sit around the fire in the even w/ coffee in hand watching sunset, then star gazing. LOL sadly I could live like that my whole life. A cabin even a tent ( for the Get- Away ) would suit me just fine. I feel so close to God out there. No interruption, or detraction when talking to him. So peaceful, calm and relaxing. No schedules, no watching the clock, no traffic. Pure Joy for me.

I have been looking at some of Oregon, I am close enough and plenty of waterfalls, even the ocean. I have never been there. Nor seen the Giant Redwoods God made. Standing beside one would probably made me feel like an ant :) Being out in nature opens my eyes to how big God is, reminds me, he is not in a little box I used to put him in, in my everyday life.

What would be your Dream Get-Away and why? What are some of the things you would like to do?

Mine would be Maui and Waikiki. Surf, sun and relaxation in nature's pristine beauty.

Too many tourists. El Capitan, Yosemite View attachment 188740 Those trees may be 300 ft. tall!
Not too many tourists for me. I've been to both places twice already and loved it. I've also been to Yosemite, Devil's Mountain and Mt. Rushmore. I heard in the news a few years ago that Yosemite is very overrun with tourists now.

Had to correct myself, I meant Devils Mountain. I know El Capitan's in Yosemite but I don't remember seeing it. We saw the geyser and the hot springs.

That changes with the season, Kings Canyon is right next door then Sequoia.

I would have to agree the dream get-away being tied to one of 'Majestic Beauty' in the Plush Green Mountain Views of God's Country...
While I've camped/hiked and visited plenty of majestic scenes along the Shenandoah Mountains in Virginia (not too far); I know that there are so many more places to see for 'dream get-aways' across the State of Virginia, WV, and the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.
I wouldn't mind making a bucket list of some of these most notorious Majestic Mountain Views and begin to start checking them off one at a time... Depending on how things go, I wouldn't mind expanding that list to include the Rockies, Oregon, Montana, Canada and Alaska...

God Bless
