What Is Unseen Is Eternal,
Outwardly we are wasting away and one day will die,
inwardly we are being renewed day by day. Our love
for God will never fade away if we keep our faith and
never lose heart. Scripture is continually leading us to
think inwardly, that is by the Spirit rather than outwardly
which is by the flesh which will soon die. With Jesus,
it was never what was but always what can and will be.
Since the law led us to nowhere, the Spirit brings us to
life everlasting. To be leaders in the word, we first need
to become followers. If we, ourselves cannot follow, we
should not try to lead. As with the Pharisees, that can
turn to hypocrisy. So until we are able to bring the love
of God into our heart, we are unable to teach what Jesus
taught. Love means first of all actions, then words.
