Have you reflected much lately on the error of your ways?

I mean to tell you what loves, a good chunk of my life I spent making poor choices and an even bigger portion regretting those poor choices. I have lamented, grieved, pitied, and bathed myself in the ugly truths hidden in my past and in my character. Guess what though? Still today, most days in fact, I walk free and easy, down the road I go.

I could list off the things that bring me shame, things that have cause hurt to my dearest, most cherished loves, but as ugly and as real as they are, it serves me only to truly grasp the amazing power found in the blood of Christ.

His redeeming nature has captured me out of the bowels of self inflicted torture, and His cleansing transformed my potential to heights that allow dignity and grace to sashay divinely around my humble life.

Who amongst us doesn't possess their own basket of toxicity?

We all have our past and present stuff that dirties the water. Come on, even if your worst offense is only looking down, without mercy, on those who have a more blemished past, that too is ugly. I guess what I'm saying is human error is the great equalizer. You may not be as bad as your neighbor, but we are all still guilty of falling short, one way or many. This truth when fully accepted need only to take us to our knees, where we can all plead for mercy. The repentance is what He seeks, the willingness to cling to His goodness, to lean in and on Him, brings us to His blameless state.

Have you grown weary, not feeling it anymore? Are you sick and tired of feeling poor? Blessed are the thorns that prick our senses, we have a healer, a restorer, a comforter.

Let us get up, out of our weakened condition and live instead in His victory of strength. We have life in Him, one that starts today, regardless the past, the present or even the future. He is our joy, our rejoicing, our hope in everything. The very least we can do is praise His Holy Name, and the most we can to is seek to reach our souls to Him in all that we say, do and think.

Our confessions bring us liberty, and He died to set us free. Do you see how big this truth is, how important He is? May we all seek and soak in His abundance, in His goodness
