Didn't know whether to put this here or in prayer requests--then thought it's not really a prayer request, so thought I'd put it here.:unsure:

I've been feeling low/sad lately and missing my Mom, who has been gone nearly a year, now.
I'm usually shy to ask for prayer in church, but tonight when I actually raised my hand when prayer requests were asked for, I was completely ignored/skipped over/or something. Didn't make me feel like what I had to say meant much, and I texted the pastor as much. Wasn't really sure what else to do. Have the funny feeling I won't get a response, but then maybe that's just he way I'm feeling.

Regarding being ignored in church, rejoice, worse occurred with Jesus.

Regarding the loss of your Mom, you will always miss her. I still miss my Mom and my Dad. Do not feel out of place for missing anyone, it i not a sin. We do not mourn as do others.

I pray and hope always for a reunion with all in the Kingdom including all members of my family, though some would think it doubtful. I love them and all so I know my Father in Heaven does too.

Hi Topaz, as with brother JaumeJ, my Dad and Mom have been gone a long time, but sometimes it is like yesterday as far as missing them. What happened with your pastor reminds me of lessons I've learned along the way....and that is, people will let you down it's inevitable however perhaps it is so that we never forget who our best friend is, our Lord and savior, Jesus/Yeshua who will never ever let you down.

Another point I'd like to mention, it's been about a year now? May be that's part of your feelings too. Anniversaries seem to be harder to most for some reason or other. Take care, God bless.

Just an added note. There are many times I have thought to call my Mom since her passing, and ofcourse there is no line to the other side of Jordan on my telephone.,. There has even been a time when waking from my sleep when I could see her walking to my cottage in the lane out front......….this too is missing our beloveds.

First thing, sending my hugs to you. I know how it feels to miss someone who is gone in your life.

I experienced being ignored and seeing people get ignored in churches, and it irritated me at first. But then I try to think of some possible reasons (ex: maybe he/she is just busy and didn't notice me). I also realize that we should not rely on other people. If you need prayers and no one's there for you, pray for yourself. After all, God still can hear you even if you are a pastor or not. Another thing, you never know but there are people who are praying for you even if you don't ask them. :)

God bless!

This year, I lost my aunt whom I considered as a second mother. It caused me depression because I didn't get a chance to see and talk to her before she passed away and I didn't look at her in the casket. There was a time I broke down, regretting those things I didn't do and wishing I could turn back time. What made me calm was thinking she didn't have to suffer anymore (she has diabetes) and she has the Lord in her heart. And I prayed and sent my message for her through it.

You did the right thing…...If we have omitted something in our relations with the now departed, talking to God will settle it perfectly. Praise God, amen.

Sorry you lost your mom. I lost my dad three years ago. It does hurt a lot sometimes. I'm sorry you got passed over in church. That must have felt awful. :( I wish I could tell you some things that might make you feel better, but it would turn this into a theology debate. Just know that someday you will see her again. God bless you and I hope you feel better. ♥♥♥ Feel free to message me if you ever need someone to talk to.
