Matthew 28:19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:15) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

15:8) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9) As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Just because God changed His mind does not mean He sinned...
That's my point. It's works preachers making God the sinner by their satanic definition of repentance for salvation. If they were right then God is a sinner by their definition! Blasphemy!

Jonah 3:10 clearly states that turning from sin is not repentance, but works. But clearly most people want to believe that they are saved by their (alleged) "turning from sin". As christ said, many are on the way to destruction. But Christ will tell them "I never knew you, depart from me you lawless".

"b-b-but look at all the works that I did in your name"

God have mercy on such hypocrites.

You laugh and mock, clearly that's all you want, but God has the last laugh.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psalms 2:4 KJV

I love you as does Christ and hope you find true salvation.
Laughing yes.......mocking.....no........I actually feel sad for you.

So, tell me, what church/group was that you belong to?

No one on This Thread has said any such thing.........

Your worldly definition is not the scriptural definition.

Metanoia

Meta-change
Noia-mind (not action)

Unless you count getting saved forever as an action ;)

Is the internet a good thing to win? I'd rather win souls to Jesus the prince of Life and Peace.
O.k. so maybe it's non-action. If I was a thief I can't keep stealing and expect to go to heaven. If I repent and change my mind on stealing then my hands will stay in my pocket and leave the item on the shelf of the store. So by this change of mind and non-action of not picking up the item and putting it in my pocket I am no longer a thief... With indwelling of the Holy Spirit you won't want to take the item.

But it did take and action of my mind and my hand had to stay put with the non-action of stealing the item off the shelf.

I forgive your mockery and double-speak.
Double speak?

What group/church was that?

Are you ashamed of them?

I am a member of the Church of God Reformation Movement. We have NO creed except the Holy Bible. We preach, teach, live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am happy to profess that.

So, what church/group was that? And, you still did not answer if you have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

Yes you can repent about things. You can repent of wanting to eat a ham sandwich. But Christ says to repent about unbelief.

As showed earlier in the thread, while not necessary to prove such a fact, the grandville sharp rule proves even futher through Greek grammar in acts 20:21 that repentance towards God IS believing in Jesus. The grammar proves Jesus is God and that repenting is believing.

You know what I meant by that.

Again I truly do love you, I don't know if you hear that often, but Christ loves you and that love is greater. He created you for his pleasure (Rev 4:11). May God give you love and peace, amen.

Interesting you should refer to Sharp. He was a nonconformist was he not? Are you a nonconformist?
You do not identify with or conform to an established church?
Why wouldn't you just say so?

As a Christian, I love you as well, just as Christ does.

I'm just trying to find out some information so I can know you better. I find your ideas about repent to be strange, or maybe just different.

Actually, almost everyone here has said pretty much what you said about repentance, except we understand that there is an action involved, and that IS NOT works salvation...........

You stop one stop too soon in my opinion. Stay on the train for the entire journey.......you might enjoy it.

I believe I've pointed out the contradiction clearly. Why should I speak anymore, on what is now known will only go unheard? I can only now leave hoping for the love of Christ for such.
