Keep ur paws off of Mormonism and focus on Jesus. We need Christians on fire free, from the past and not dabbling in it

I was in the mormon church, baptised in the mormon church but left because I wanted something more
I was a Priest in the Aaronic priesthood,I was really involved in the church even though I didn't go to the temple because I didn't feel right about certain temple ordinances like "sealing for time and eternity, baptism of the dead" and so many others that i cant remember right now
I didn't also agree with their views of the eternities, how we would be in Heaven
Even though the LDS church has beautiful teachings I won't deny that, being in the Mormon church was good for me because it helped me shape my character
Made me realize the importance of Actions and consequences, "you can choose your actions but you can't choose the consequences "
Made me see God the Father as My Father so many other beautiful things I learnt from the Mormon church

Hi David, I agree. A lot of the teachings are wrong and I know that but I have to acknowledge that it made me the person I am today and gave me a good knowledge of bible verses. It also makes me very grateful that I have got out and can be free to worship God and question things and learn form the Bible, not form a church manual.

I thoroughly agree with you on that. When I was saved I realized just how ignorant I was coming from Catholicism and decided then and there that I was going to study my Bible so that I would never be deceived again by some cult. It has done me well over the years. When I went through Bible college I amassed a rather nice library but the only book that I really paid any attention to was my Bible.

Most of those books are gone now. Though I have posted some of the better ones on my web site/library which I have a link to at the bottom of the page. If you visit it, you do not need to join. Joining does not add anything to your ability to access the books.

Hmmmm...Biblically we should count the things we think we've gained from a false religion, or obedience to Judaism, or any supposed moral goodness, not as things we should glory in, or heaping on self-praise, asserting our own "goodness", but should be counting them as dung, then we'll be growing spiritually and truly know Christ.

Hi, I'm new on here and I was wondering if there are any fellow ex mormons. I'm trying to figure out mormon doctrine from Christian doctrine and would love to chat?
Hi, I think you chose a good place.

I do post on a ex Mormon board periodically and have relatives as an elder in Mormonism .

Like the difference with many other denominations in the end of the matter it breaks down to "how can we hear God" as the eternal things of God not seen and not men the temporal as the things of men seen. What we will be is not what we are when we do receive the promise of our new incorruptible body. All Christians die not receiving it.

Mormonism serves another authority other than all things written in the law and the prophets(sola scriptura) . They do that in violation of the warning given at the end of the book of prophecy in the last chapter Revelation, with what they call the book of Mormon .It widens the authority of God's word as a oral tradition of men and in the end makes the word of God to no effect.. like many oral traditions of men

Study and search how we can hear God by seeking his approval not seen and then it can be easier to spot the counterfeit gospels.
