Have you ever heard someone say "I must die to that." The good news is "your already dead to it."
When Christ died on the cross, You died with him, Romans 6:2-3

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

You need to underline the word "with." You were with him on the cross, you were with him in death, you were with him in resurrection and ascension.
All in Adam have been crucified to God, 2 Cor. 5:14

14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

The whole world is dead "in Christ" on the cross, they just don't know it they need to believe. You need to be a good preacher-teacher and tell them, how shall they know unless you tell them.
Many Christian's don't know their dead in Christ don't expect the world to understand.
If your not careful you become like so many today who protest and picket sin. It will never work because that will not change a person.
Only God's cross of salvation can do that. We judge based on good and evil. God's judgement fell on Jesus Christ at the cross.
You may expose sin and shame a person but they can only be saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Seems many have used these tactics to get people in an altar or join their religion.
The only altar there is for lost humanity as well as believers is the Cross.
It is religion that builds a place for their salvation.
It is God who provided for salvation by the crucifixion of all in Adam in Christ on the cross.

Believers who see their death in Christ on the cross are the only one's that come to understand life.
They see life is only in the Son, and nothing anyone can do to enhance their salvation, 1 John 5:11-12

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

You may have a religious life or some life that feels good to them, but you will never have the Christ-life as your life until you see your death.

I think this is why we are to deny ourselves and pick up the cross daily.

Amen, The issue is the world does not knwo they are dead, They think they are ok. For this reason, they think they will be ok on judgment day, Because they wre good people, or they may have sinned, but they payed for that sin with some religion form of penance of said they were sorry to God.

The world needs to know not only are they dead, But they were with christ (he died in their place) and this is the only way they could be saved.

Amen EG, when we walk with Christ we must be dead to the lust and the greedy hustle of this world.

Rom. 6:11 "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."

1 Cor. 15:31 "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."

Even Jesus call those of the world dead, everyone not called of God.

Matt. 8:22
"But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead."

I translates to ego. My ego has been crucified with Christ. Is this not self will?

Amen, seeing Christ who is the only life of the believer translates into spontaneous Christian living.

amen

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God
(Colossians 3:3)

this doesn't say 'you must die to yourself and hide your life in Christ' -- it says past tense, this is a done deal.

sort of a pet peeve for the dude with a skeleton as an avatar, actually. :)

thanks, @Noblemen

All mankind are not dead in Christ and Christ did not die for all mankind, just those that God gave him and he said that he would not lose any of them but would raise them up at the last day. The only ones that are in Christ and dead to sin are those that have been regenerated as explained in Eph 2, especially in verse 5. All of those that Christ died for will ultimately be regenerated sometime in their life.
