Freedom from the thou shalts and the thou shalt nots...

Freedom from pride and selfishness…

Freedom from poor thinking, guilt, worry, insecurities and other critical and negative tendencies...

Freedom from fears and what ifs...

Freedom from pain...

Freedom from lonely…

Freedom from the wounded spirit...

Freedom from this and freedom from that.

I keep thinking on Exodus, the long arduous struggle to find their freedom. I think about these shootings and the fires, hard times all around. But still with Him in the corners of prayer and praise, there resides a knowing there is liberty in only Him.

So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
John 8:36

He set us free on that cross.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1

Or how about…

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Romans 8:2

And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
Psalms 119:45

and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
John 8:32

I can not think of a scenario that doesn’t address freedom, one way or another. From addictions, to fears, to pain and suffering, to simply dealing with the confines of life, we all seek it one way or another.

The freedom He offers only He can. It is something we all desire, even need, and He is our only hope for liberty. I'll never understand why anyone would not choose to be set free. Though I feel trapped, sometimes, in my flawed humanity and in my weaknesses, I can't get over how my soul flies in His embrace.

Besides salvation and forgiveness of sins, can you think of a tangible way in your own personal experience where freedom in Him has changed your life?

Oh my , no weight, no sorrow,
hm...
on earth they are in many of our tomorrows. But in Him, we can find our sanctuary, in the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil. He will cause us to lie down in green pastures. He will lead us beside still waters, He restores our souls. He lifts our heads. He satiates our weary souls. His mercies are new every day. If we wait on Him, we will run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. When we eat His words, they are the joy and rejoicing of our hearts, we are called by Him. All suffering brings us closer to Him. Our souls know just how wonderful He and His work are. Praise His Holy Name.

is this what it's like to hear God speak to us?

what is it like to hear God's voice, is it as ethereal as what people seem to claim
is it so common that every wavelength that can be scientifically measured is God speaking to us?

I'd like to think He def is in the midst of them. I think His essence is energy, but intellectual in nature, thus spiritual. I mean, it is merely a guess. How can the clay describe or define the potter....

I have not heard the audible voice of Him but when He walks me to where I need to be, He communicates in such a way that I feel a surreal communion with Him. I find it when I read His word. Even though His ways are not mine, that His ways are higher, He helps me to rest in His embrace.

Surreal, like something from a dream, an almost magical experience (no not eastern, or mediphysical ) but I feel like there is a connection. You know how you feel in nature, like a connected experience. I feel an annointing, a knowing, a peace and joy, that moves me in a deep and meaningful way. Yes, He is more than feelings, and more than an idea or a notion. He is our breath and sometimes we know His truth and power in every inhale and every exhale.
