iF YOU ARE FREE TO CHOOSE SALVATION THEN YOU MUST BE FREE TO UN-CHOOSE IT.
Otherwise, what happened to your free will? This was the point of Arminius in his remonstrances.

Part of Methodist doctrine as well as other mainline religions that say one can "walk away" or choose to leave.
So Arminianism is still taught in churches today.

What a sad state to be in, never knowing if your works are good enough........or if you did more good than bad. and so it goes
Do they picture God getting out a scale of justice to see which way it flips??
True

But no one who has been saved would ever chose to reject it. In order for this to happen. God would have to fail to be trusted faithfull..

The natural man is anyone that has not been regenerated.
Because of unbelief.

yet romans 1 says they have no excuse.

If you can not understand, you have an excuse.. God is not going to be mocked by refusing to allow people to understand..

I hold Arminius to be a heretic as he also denied the Trinity, so I am in no way advocating his doctrine. I am calvinist, polar opposite from Jacob.

When people that DO walk away, it is often chalked up to 'they were not really born again' and I believe this to be true. No one after being born again would even think of 'walking away' HOWEVER if one truly has free will then he can choose to walk away. The point was about free will, the will that lives in a vacuum.

I hold arminius as a heretic also. But I also think calvinistic fatalism gives God a bad name, although I consider them brothers

As for people walkng away, 1 John 2 answers this question, They were never of us, if they were they never would have left.

Free will stands. That was my point, They can walk away, but no one would walk away. (And reject christ, I was a prodigal when I left baptist church, But I never denied Christ

I was a baptist.. I did not agree with 4. At most I am 3 point.

And may I make a suggestion? Practice what you preach. You need to see how you are talking to people before you start judging them
sometimes a person's conscience owns the rebuttal and sees it as a bash.
Now I regret that may happen, but that is a ThEM problem not a ME problem.
The written word will never be as effective for communicating as speaking.

Someone asked about the 1335 days in Daniel.......that would be 1290 plus 45 days
45 days into the seige there was a lull while much of the abom of desolation withdrew. A lull that allowed the Christians to flee to Pella. 3 1/2 ytd from cross to abom of deso
3 1/2 yrs from being of war to mid war =1290 days
plus 45 days to middle of war......=1335 days

That is what I gather from the info available on that time.

What is ignored is to many ignore the opposing Armenianism. It also is very biblical. Thus the controversy between them.

Quinquarticular Controversy
The diametrically opposed Calvinist and Armenian 5 points

Reformed/Calvinism
TULIP
1. Total depravity
2. Unconditional election
3. Limited atonement
4. Irresistible grace
5. Perserverance of the Saints

Armenianism
1. Free will or Human ability
2. Conditional election
3. Universal Redemption or General Atonement
4. The Holy Spirit can be Effectually Resisted
5. Falling from Grace

There are denominations adhering to Calvinism, Arminianism, and parts of each creating a spectrum of different views of these issues.

Tis a "hard see, and sell", for ones' that are "spoiled in God's Grace", and "covering multitudes of sin" with "love", in the going and growing where Grace is not so abundant, in their believing that they are YET/STILL SAVED! IMHO? THIS is the "where" all these "WORKS FOR SALVATION", refutings stem from!

"But...But!" "It doesn't FEEL like I'm saved!" "I can't, I can't FEEL THE LOVE!" Yeah! No kiddin'! There AIN'T no love in spiritual warfare!

Galatians 2:17
But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Romans 6:15
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

According to 1 Cor 2:14, not all men/women can understand the spiritual things that are taught in the gospels.
Nope. That just says by their own power they can nto understand

Thats why the HS was sent to convict the world.

Rejecting Christ is to reject the HS.

Why do you refuse to Give God credit for giving every man and woman an opportunity to be saved? Why do you make him out to be a respector of persons?

I have both

My God says he has perfect love, and is perfectly soverign

Thats means free will and soveregnty can both live in harmony.

This is so simple, yet people make it a problem. God's grace does not cancel His sovereignty, neither does His sovereignty cancel His grace. They are in perfect balance, as are all the attributes of God.

What the Reformed Christians did is to make God's sovereignty mean something TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what the Bible declares. Hence we have the FALSE DOCTRINE of Five Point Calvinism (Reformed Theology). The sad thing is that many good Christians did not figure this out and abandon this man-made teaching in a hurry.

Sovereignty of God is the Christian teaching that God is the supreme authority and all things are under His control. ... Easton's Bible Dictionary defines God's Sovereignty as His "absolute right to do all things according to his own good pleasure."

To that end I agree, but I would go further and say that he is the man that has progressed (or regressed) to the man we read of in Romans 1:18ff. He is not just a casual unbeliever. He has chosen to worship and serve the created rather than the Creator and has suppressed all Bible truth.
Just an fyi BBB, ForestGreenCook believes that the verses in Romans 1:18-23 are written concerning born again believers who are "disobedient children of God".

ForestGreenCook does not believe Romans 1:18-32 is written about the unbeliever.
