5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices,
acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:
and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders
disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:
whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the
praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have
obtained mercy.
1Peter 2:

2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and
established my goings.
3 And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall
trust in the LORD.
4 Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Psalm 40:

It is very easy to find fault in any one other than Jesus Christ, but to look and see Jesus, Yeshua, in others is an ability, the gift of Love. God is love.
This means you do not find dbault in Jesus Christ, but we should look for Him in others instead of finding fault in them.

Well the OP is about four corners, and all of God's buildings (material or metaphorical) have four corners.
You sure about that? I could have sworn that that all of God's buildings were build upon two feet....not four corners..

And the city lieth foursquare*, and the length is as large as the breadth (Rev 21:16)

Strong's Concordance
tetragónos: four-cornered, i.e. square
Transliteration: tetragónos
Definition: four-cornered, square

So a three-cornered-hat or a three-cornered-building is simply an anomaly to be ignored.
So are you trying to say a pryamid is an example of a foursquare foundation?

Is this a foundation for an Architecture Forum I wonder?

I am not understanding the premise of the OP that every foundation has four corners? It is just not so - many have four corners, yes, but not all do - many modern builders are not built in a box shape and may have 6,7,8 etc. corners!

And I have not seen any Scriptural proof that we should be looking for some sort of 4 part corners for a foundation. All that happens then is that we arbitrarily try to determine what I think the four corners should be. Sure, it sounds good to say the four corners are the Father, the Son, the Spirit, and The Scriptures, but that is conjecture. And furthermore that has theological problems by placing the written word equal to the Trinity.

Someone pointed out that the New Jerusalem is "foursquare" but it also has twelve foundations (Rev. 21:14).

Not trying to be difficult, but just asking a question . . .?

Why?

And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. Rev 21:16

All that passage qouted demonstrates is that there is no substance to a any foundation other than the doctrine of Christ.

"...for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
Matt 16:17-18

Reason being..... Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Matt 6:27

No hidden intent here. There is nothing more to my comment than I wanted to look at that scripture and could not find it. So thanks again.

Something to consider... All foundations have four corners.

Jesus said..."Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." Matt 7:21-27

Foundations begin with a corner stone and three corners are added to secure a structure:
"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;"Ephesians 2:19-20

Jesus is the corner stone. Where do the other 3 corners factor in? Notice the scripture above says the apostles and prophets show us the foundation. Apostle Peter had the keys to the kingdom and expressed the answer in Acts chapter 2; Repentance, water baptism in Jesus name for the remission of sin, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

The house foundation is built upon the rock which is Jesus and Christians obey the gospel message given by Peter and the foundation becomes complete. Jesus knows us, we know Him, and our walk with Him begins. Jesus told his disciples, before He left, wait here don't go anywhere until you are endued with power.

"...Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And ye are witnesses of these things.
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." Luke 24:46-49
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Grace is a free gift from God. The reason Jesus said begone was they were proclaiming works instead of grace. Works doesn't save only grace does. All Christians should understand that.

There are four foundational requirements for Christian salvation
1: believe the gospel
2: repentance from dead works
3; put your repentance into action by obedience and be baptised (which is Greek for plunged) in water to partake of the death,
burial and resurrection of our Lord and Redeemer, Christ Jesus, for the remission of our past sins
4: be baptised in the Holy Spirit to become a son or daughter of our Father in heaven who will also burn up the chaff in our
lives and teach us of his righteousness.

Then comes grace and mercy and the washing of our sins through stumbling by the blood of the Lamb of God.

A sound building is built on a solid foundation so it doesn't collapse during a heavy storm and get swept away.
I’m going with the hymn.......

“.....on Christ the solid Rock, I stand. All other ground is sinking sand......”

The foundation of the New Jerusalem is composed of Twelve levels each named for a tribe of Israel...……… If you wish it is on the Rock...…..Yeshua.

I always remember about the man who built his house on the sand, the rain and wind came and washed it away. The wise man built his house on the Rock, the wind and rain came but could not move it.

It is certain that house, like New Jerusalem, had a good square foundation, so the Rock and the foundation analogies should be good enugh for anyone…….they are for me......

Absolutely. What is remarkable about the New Jerusalem is that no city on earth has any foundations, but this city has twelve foundations, is a perfect cube, and is the size of a continent, with a height of 1,500 miles (which would suggest sufficient room for billions of people). There is probably no building on earth which is even a mile in height (the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is slightly over half a mile).

I have read the walls of the New Jerusalem are made up of the Saints. I know that sounds werd, but it is said. I know the street is made of gold so pure you can see into it lke glass.

Now gold is the likeness given to our faith by our Father. Is this nto a marvel to consider, that you faith and mine is like gold to our father.

I always think of this when I read about the talents of gold left to the servants while the Master was away.

It also brings my heart and mind to Isaiah when our blessed Father tells us that H refines us, but not as gold or silver rather in the furnace of affliction that we not be cut off. Wow!

I never cease to stop marvelling over out blessed God, Elohanu, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Is He not grand in every way?! All blessing in Yeshua...

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. .John 14:2
