Apology accepted.

My purpose was to challenge you to think about what you claimed to believe.
Was surprised at your reaction. The challenge was intentional, the offense was not.

I would be happy to help you work through this from my perspective.
Have been debating with Sabbatarians for ten years. I have this pretty well worked out.
I can answer the questions I see that you have. Let me know if you want me to walk you through it.

There is not reason for the guilt and struggle that you are putting yourself through.
On one hand you know that you are not required to keep the Sabbath.
But you seem to be unable to defend it doctrinally.
Thank you for your thoughtful considerate reply as it is much appreciated. You are correct in saying that I cannot seem to defend my perception or actions regarding the Sabbath doctrinally.

Let's start with your reference in Revelation. Bring it.
A warning given to us.

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,
to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
-

"And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another,
and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship
before me, saith the Lord.

Seems like in the future, all will observe the Sabbath,
revolving on Gods calendar [new moons] again as he directed.

Also all nations will required to keep the feast of tabernacles in the future mill.

"This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations
that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

There is none good but Caesar

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good?
there is none good but one, that is, God. Luke 18:19,Matthew 19:17

Shall we leave it at that, or would you like to explore it further?
Here's a question: Where/when did the Sabbath originate?

Do you keep the new moon festival?

Here is my beef with those who quote this (unreferenced) scripture below.

They claim this is proof that we should keep the Sabbath, but they aren't keeping the New Moon.
They both have equal weight in this passage. Typically they will claim that the new moon is a measure of time. (month to month)
They need to apply that to the Sabbath as well. (equal weight/equal definition) Week to week.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another,
and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship
before me, saith the Lord.

God sanctified it

I think the Sabbath has been the 7th day[saturday], ever since God made it Holy.
Not sure if there is any bible verses telling us how to figure when the Sabbath day is.

The seventh day was set apart and made holy at creation...

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made;
and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that
in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

God (Jesus Christ) revealed the seventh day to Israel for forty YEARS.
Every meal they were reminded which day the Sabbath.
-

"By calculating the eclipses, it can be proven that no time has been lost and the creation days
were seven, divided into 24 hours each."—Dr. Hinkley, The Watchman, July 1926 [Hinkley
was a well-known astronomer].

"The human race never lost the septenary [seven day] sequence of week days and that
the Sabbath of these latter times comes down to us from Adam, though the ages, without
a single lapse."—Dr. Totten, professor of astronomy at Yale University.

"Seven has been the ancient and honored number among the nations of the earth. They have
measured their time by weeks from the beginning. The origin of this was the Sabbath of God,
as Moses has given the reasons for it in his writings."—Dr. Lyman Coleman.

"There has been no change in our calendar in past centuries that has affected in any way the cycle
of the week."—James Robertson, Director American Ephemeris, Navy Department, U.S. Naval
Observatory, Washington, D.C., March 12, 1932.

"It can be said with assurance that not a day has been lost since Creation, and all the calendar
changes notwithstanding, there has been no break in the weekly cycle."—Dr. Frank Jeffries,
Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Research Director of the Royal Observatory,
Greenwich, England.

There is no question about which day the seventh day of the week is.

?

when are all the feasts? multiples of 7 days from the start of a month - which is marked by a new moon.
ever notice all the feasts happen to be 'special' sabbaths?

not saying this is what it should be, or that it's not. i frankly don't know.
been hoping for quite some time someone would be willing to seriously discuss it.

sure we can count to 7.
but where do we start?

reading the OT, as you know, the calendar the Sinai covenant operated on starts with new moons.
the occupied orthodox Jews stopped using the moon and settled on Julian saturdays some time ago. just because unbelieving Jews did this doesn't mean it's correct. i find it a rather compelling argument but i'm nowhere near an orthodox enough unbelieving Jew to know how to evaluate it.

Julian Dec. 7 was the new moon. it was a Julian friday.

does that mean sabbath during Julian december is each thursday, until the next new moon, Julian january 16? that's a Julian wednesday, so then sabbaths are tuesdays through the next moon ?

talk about a scheduling headache for your employer lol
you can see why someone would choose not to do this, if for no other reason than to accommodate their worldly life more easily.

i think it would be quite ironic to discover this is actually how the sabbath should be calculated, were one to be under the old covenant and required to keep it.

Once the 7th day Sabbath day was made, the pattern has not change in history.
We know what day it is still, and we never have to [figure it out again] except count to 7.

Now the other Sabbath or [Gods Holy convocation or feasts], we do have to figure this
out by using the first new moon of Gods calendar.

God made the moon for seasons, but man since Christ has changed to a solar calander.
In the future , we will go back to Gods calander as per scripture.

Why or how was " time changed" After Christ?

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the
most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until
a time and times and the dividing of time.

not sure why there is a line through my post sorry

No, I don't believe that God would punish me for my obedience but regarding the Sabbath, I am not at all sure what form my obedience would take, but would most likely rationalize that providing for my family takes precedence over a strict observence. Whether this is right or wrong I will leave that for God to judge. I may lose reward in heaven but my salvation is secure.
what if truly observing sabbath is walking two miles with someone who asks you to go one? without refusing him citing 'but it's this day of the week i can't go, come back tomorrow' ?

if i refused to work when someone asks me to, saying 'it's sabbath' then don't i violate this --

Do not say to your neighbor,
"come back tomorrow and I'll give it to you" -
- when you already have it with you.
(Proverbs 3:28)

why would God make a completely different calendar for the feasts - they also being sabbaths - which depends on the moon?

how did creation begin? darkness. and then He said let there be light.
how does the day begin? darkness.

if it's patterned on creation, and after days, why shouldn't it be counted from the beginning in darkness - the new moon?

it would make sense, i mean. buts maybe we really are supposed to just mark time with total disregard for that great light He put in the sky to mark times with.

God made one calendar, the Sabbath day is not figured by the moon.
Once time started, the Sabbath was every seventh day period.

how did creation begin? darkness. and then He said let there be light.
how does the day begin? darkness.
Chaos then order

Yes Gods days stat at dusk[dark], then morning ,or daytime.
We run on a man made watch, to figure the days end and beginning.
This was not by Gods design, starting a day at midnight.

if it's patterned on creation, and after days, why shouldn't it be counted
from the beginning in darkness - the new moon?
Our man made ways are not Gods ways.

the Gregorian calendar—named after Pope Gregory xiii. That calendar revolves around fixing
the date of Easter in line with the spring equinox, ensuring that the Catholic’s pagan festivals
fall at the right time relative to Earth’s revolution around the sun.

This calendar is based on the Julian calendar, the Roman calendar established in 45 b.c. by Julius
Caesar. He chose the names and lengths of the months that we still use today (except July and
August, which were renamed after Julius and Augustus). But the Julian calendar was later altered
by the Vatican. God actually prophesied that the Catholic Church would change time itself!

In every possible manner, this power has changed time!

God begins the days at sunset, but “the little horn” has changed it so
the world now begins the day in the middle of the night by a man-made watch.

God begins the week with the ending of the true Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, but
the world begins the working week in the middle of the night, the second day of the week.

God begins the months with the new moons, but this “little horn” has induced the world
to begin the months according to a clumsy man-made calendar of heathen origin.

God begins the year in the early spring, when new life is budding in nature everywhere,
but ancient heathen Rome caused the world to begin the year in the middle of dead winter.

God gave His children a true rest day, designed to keep them continually in the
knowledge and true worship of the true God—a memorial of God’s creation—
the seventh day of the week.

Just have to count from Sabbath to Sabbath,
even today's calendar has the Sabbath as the last day of the week
Yes, we know when the Sabbath day is. Just look to the Jews.
They have been keeping it on a weekly basis since God gave it to them through Moses. (Exodus 16)

We see Noah recorded the flood using Gods calendar for one.
