I Will Follow You,

I believe that listening to the Lord is far more important
than speaking to Him. After all He knows everything so
He knows you and He knows me. Of course scripture
says we need to petition the Lord for some of our needs
but for the most part, if we really listened to Him in the
first place, that petition would have been answered. It is
a matter of being one with the Lord. He does not give us
everything we want but He always gives us everything we
need. So as we hear Him calling in the night as Samuel
did, our life becomes more and more attached to Him. We
are in Him far more than we are simply with Him, which is
good but there is much more to God. Scripture says; seek
first the kingdom of God and all the rest will be given unto
you. Ironically instead of seeking first, we need to get to a
place in life when we really understand that quote.

So many times I have thought to petition something, then rethinking it selfish I did not, then lo, it came about because our Father is always there for us……..

As you have said, people must learn when they petition aything our Father's response could be no, and that for good reason. That good reasoning surfaces one day or another. Praise God,, and blessed be His will, amen.

The key part here is listening. Prayer is a two way conversation between you and God.
However at times the listening gets missed.
Thanks for the reminder!
