Washington (CNN)

A former Trump campaign staffer is suing President Donald Trump and his campaign, alleging that the then-Republican presidential candidate kissed her without her consent during the 2016 race. She's also suing over equal pay -- claiming that she was paid less for her work based on race and gender.

Alva Johnson, a former Trump campaign staffer who lives in Alabama, alleges in a lawsuit filed Monday that Trump grabbed her hand and forcibly kissed her without her consent inside an RV in Florida in August 2016.

While Trump was meeting with volunteers and signing autographs inside the RV, "Ms. Johnson noticed that Defendant Trump was watching her and appeared to be trying to make eye contact with her," the lawsuit alleges.

After Trump was alerted by Secret Service that he was due for his next rally, she urged him "to go in there and 'kick ass.'"
Trump then allegedly grasped her hand and praised her efforts.

"As Defendant Trump spoke, he tightened his grip on Ms. Johnson's hand and leaned towards her. He moved close enough that she could feel his breath on her skin," the lawsuit states. "Ms. Johnson suddenly realized that Defendant Trump was trying to kiss her on the mouth, and attempted to avoid this by turning her head to the right. Defendant Trump kissed her anyway, and the kiss landed on the corner of her mouth."

Trump, she says, then grasped her hand, thanked her for her work and leaned in.
Recalling the moment, Johnson said: “Oh, my God, I think he’s going to kiss me. He’s coming straight for my lips.
“So I turn my head, and he kisses me right on corner of my mouth, still holding my hand the entire time. Then he walks on out.”
Two other Trump supporters – including a campaign aide – who were present when the alleged kiss happened have denied seeing it.
Johnson continued working for Trump after the alleged incident,
...
She admits still attending one of the inaugural balls, after Trump won his surprise presidential victory, and even twice applying for jobs in his administration.

I do not condone inappropriate behavior and I would not like it if someone I worked for approached me inappropriately (in fact, that did happen to me long ago when a supervisor tried to kiss me. I ended up quitting the job immediately).

Why did Ms. Johnson continue working for Trump after the alleged incident?

And why did she attend one of the inaugural balls?

And why did she twice apply for jobs in his administration?

I think she was "put up to it". Kinda like the way CBF and the rest were paraded out against Brett Kavanaugh.

I am not excusing Trump ... I do not believe he should be grabbing / kissing anyone.

Just another "wait and see" issue. Staffers who were present at the time did not see Trump behave inappropriately toward her. According to newspaper accounts, she told family members about it at the time. Now 2 plus years later we hear about it.

Here's another link to an article:

Kind of interesting as it has quotes from staffers who were present at the time. Also, there's some interesting family dynamics mentioned toward the end. Something about sealed court records which "A clerk inadvertently provided the sealed records to The Post" ...

Not hard to believe he would do this..

Kinda like...

Mr. Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Mr. Bush: Whatever you want.

Mr. Trump: Grab ’em by the p*****. You can do anything.

Thomas Jefferson enslaved over 600 people and explicitly stated that Blacks were inferior.... yet he had children with at least one of his slaves. So to answer your question, yes, a racist would kiss someone they were racist against (or more than kiss for that matter).

I mean yeah... He has admitted to doing this yet his die-hard supporters act shocked anyone would ever believe he'd do something like this. This doesn't mean Trump did do it, but the fact that it's not even a possibility to some is really sad...

The people supporting him can’t see anything wrong with him, and the people not supporting him can only see wrong with him.

Funny.

I support him. I pray for him. I wish he had better moral character. I would love if he was as white as wind driven snow, but at the end of the day I care VASTLY more about his policies and appointments that he has implemented WITHOUT much GOP help.

On his accomplishments, I find him the greatest President of my lifetime. Even Exceeding President Reagan.

I also don't believe a single word out of the mouths of the media.
All I see are fantastic results from him. So I plan to continue to support him, especially since the alternative is the blatantly evil Democrats in BOTH character and policy.

This happened here in Bama. Listening to the local Radio Stations talking about this incident, all I can say is there are numerous people who are coming forward to discredit the Lady and her charges.

Did Trump do what she said? I do not know, but from what is being said, there are numerous people who claimed to have witnessed the incident, and say she is overstating what happened. What would be her motive? One person stated that as a Black Woman who is a Republican AND was supporting Trump during the Campaign, she has faced a whole lot of backlash from friends and other Blacks she knows. I don't know, just reporting what is being said............

Right,if she was so upset and offended why did she continue to work for him etc. Because it's made up,that's why.

I don't know if her allegation is true or made up. Time will tell. I sure wouldn't have stayed on. However, as Locutus stated maybe she needed to "pay the bills etc." If that was the case, find another job and then quit. Don't continue to work there, go to the inaugural ball, submit further applications to work for the guy.

I go by actions more than words ... her actions conflict with her words.
