What is the name of the angel that had to fight against the Prince of Persia in order for another angel to deliver a message to Daniel?
Michael fought the Prince of Persia so that Gabriel could deliver the message. Michael also fought satan over the body of Moses. What was that about? Not a good trivia question because no one knows the answer.
NEXT TRIVIA QUESTION: Why did Michael fight Satan in Revelation? (most logical answer)

Deuteronomy

Did David have a younger brother?
Hi Lafftur, the Bible tells us that David was the youngest of 8, but I'm betting you've found something clever/tricky beyond that :)

"Spiritually", David has many younger brothers (and sisters), which includes all true Christians.

So, @Lafftur, please tell us, did David have a younger brother, and if he did, what was his name?

Thanks!

Well certainly, we can presume, it was because Satan and a third of his followers rebelled and had to be removed from their positions and imprisoned on earth. If you consider that correct, then this is the next question: Why on earth? Are they not spirits and can live on Mars or any other solid planet. They do no need oxygen to breath, do they? ;)

Oh goodness, I really wasn't being "sneaky." I just like to throw out easy questions sometimes so new Christians will want to play Bible Trivia with us. :giggle:

I do like how you're a deep thinker, Deut!

Hmmmm.........I don't think Michael ever actually "fights" Satan when throwing Satan into the bottomless pit. Scriptures don't mention a struggle at all.

Revelation 20:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
20 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

There was a "war" in Heaven though, when Satan gets cast down to the Earth.......now, that sounds like a "fight."

Revelation 12:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.

Not sure if the fallen angels got cast down to Earth, I think Jude tells us they are already in chains.

Jude 6 New International Version (NIV)
6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

Deade, interesting question......"Why was Satan cast down to the Earth and the fallen angels kept in darkness bound in chains? Why the Earth?

Please share with us why you think the Earth.....:)(y)

I don't believe they are already in chains. The chains are referred to as "tartaros," which refers only to the present condition of darkness, or perversion, and of restraint, of some of the fallen angels, or demons. There appears to be some in what I call the abyss, but most are not. Neither are they allowed into heaven since the fall. Satan talking with God in Job chapter one happened on earth, I believe.

We can conclude then, that the war in Rev. 12 was before Eden and a different event, than locking all the fallen in the abyss. I think that the demons Jesus cast out in Matt. 8:31 sought the swine to go into to stay out of the abyss. Maybe they must dwell in a creature or go to the abyss. So they just hop from one to another human or creature. That is just speculation, on my part. The following post is my version of the why God chose the earth to imprison Satan. :)(y)

Why Earth?
Why would God cast the rebellious angels to the earth where He was starting a new work with man? It only makes sense when you look at it from God’s perspective. God set in motion rules that differentiated right from wrong, in other words He defined good and evil. He then created these angels and put them in charge of His governing body with Lucifer as the head: Eze. 28:14 “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”

Lucifer, along with a third of the angels, decided to try themselves to decide good and evil. They said why is something evil just because God says so? I feel just like with humans evil becomes a trap that keeps us from doing good. Evil is habit forming. I believe the world became dark and void from that mismanagement. I believe the war in heaven was this casting down of Satan and his fellows.

So, God starts a new work with mankind right here where Satan can influence him. He then even puts the means for mankind’s fall in the same place (The tree of knowledge of good and evil). God knew Satan would deceive Eve and Adam would follow. All part of the plan. We see the same sin played out over and over of trying to establish what we think is good.

God could have put the fallen angels on Mars or Venus, or anywhere other than here. God is showing all the angels, fallen or otherwise, plus all mankind the results of not letting Him decide right from wrong. In other words, God is purging His universe of evil and showing us why evil is wrong. All the while He is building Godly character within us by overcoming in faith. I am not sure just how that works, bur I am sure God does.

Deade, such an interesting concept......Why the Earth? I enjoyed reading your thoughts on it. I find myself pondering the correlations between Satan and the fallen angels kicked out of heaven with Adam and Eve getting kicked out of the garden of Eden.......and how the sin of rebellion started in heaven, then came to earth.

Very interesting..........

Not sure of the answer to your question but, this is interesting what happens to Jezebel............

2 Kings 9:36-37 King James Version (KJV)
36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:
37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

I thought there was more verse to that in another book maybe that tells when it actually did happen?

And so then what Is Christ saying in Rev.....when he says he gave her time to repent does he mean the same Jezebel or is he speaking figuratively ?

Name 3 of the 6 things I am thinking of ( and there is probably more )
Christ says he will give to those who overcome.
