I've come across several videos and articles online where people have been said to have a near death experience or an ''outter body experience''. Some are very convincing but are these testimonies true?

I think they are real and it does happen to some people. Nothing is impossible with Jesus so I wouldnt doubt it.

Id still love to hear what others have to say on this. :)

Peolle love justifying anything they feel to by saying "anything us possible". Just because God may possess the power to do a thing does not mean he will do it. Or that it isn't against what he says.
There's nothing biblical to support the idea and the stories typically contradict, if not each other, then the bible itself.
Also it's "out of body", not outer body. And those are most often tied to eastern religions (occult).

The old age new age doctrine puffing up its ugly head. . Have you been experienced? Name it claim it. as if experience was the validator of the spiritual unseen truth. We are made aware of the wile of the devil who goal is to destroy the work of faith .

Not "out of body", not outer body. Its lying spirits bringing in lying wonders .(will worship)

I will ascend to the clouds like god.

Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,(Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh Collosians 2:18-23

Near death experiences occur but why I have noidea. Long before I eceived the infilling of the Holy Spirit, as a teen, I was in an automoile accident, the vehicle was tumbling end-over-end while I felt a most wonderful exhilerationand there was great light ahead of me...…...I recall a mini-converstion in my mind as I said, "Here I come." The reply came at the settling down of the truck……."No, Not yet." Then pain from top to toe...………..It was wonderful.

I am going with you are not addresing me. The experience I had was real. Whether it be fof the work of our Father, I have no idea. I do not use this experience as any kind of evidence of the existence of our Maker…..I have no need to. If our Fagther ever has it in His will to tellme one way or another, it is stillmy experience, and nothing of the Word, that i KNOW OF YET. gOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.

"Never doubt an awesome God! There are those of us that have experienced an extraordinary
'event' in our life that has to be lived, no explanation would suffice to those that know not...
it simply has to be 'Lived'. Many know my name, but not my story. By the grace of God...
I came...I came to...I came to believe! ..........God Is! "

You're right....I was not addressing you and thanks for that consideration instead of assuming....however...Peter said we have a more sure word of prophecy and not to trust experience over the word.....and God reveals himself by the word and through the word of God......

I am not saying people do not have experiences....the problem comes when they automatically chuck it up to God and or being real.....I have had experiences, but I do not claim they are from God nor do I allow them to influence any decision in my life tied to spirituality....

Near death experiences are very personal. Just because it may not make sense to you doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Realize that the people are telling others for a reason. Sure, money happens. But...there are people who tell it for free online, children telling it, etc.

The meaning is simply hope. They are trying to give others hope. To convey in another way that God is real and that he cares for you deeply. That is the main theme. They may even feel obligated to tell others what happened out of respect to God.

So take what they're saying and listen. Understand that God cares for you deeply. Even so much as bringing that experience to your view, reading about it, whispering the truth to you. It is meant for you.

If there were such a thing in the library of faith, and there just may be, I say kudos to you.

I was always skeptical of the near death and the bright and soothing light at the end of a tunnel until I experienced it for myself. I over reacted in correcting my Pickup and rolled it off of an embankment next to a river which totaled my pickup and didn't harm me at all. My experience, unlike others, was that I was not blacked out, but fully aware of everything that happened. It appeared as if it was all in slow motion (taking about 20 minutes). The whole inside of my pickup was filled with a soothing bright light that brought with it the most peaceful feeling that I have ever felt. The space under the dash, which even in the daylight appears shadowy was as bright as the rest of the cab of the pickup. I had no choice but to credit God for being in the pickup with me. This will probably be taken as a hoax, but it forever changed my views on the near death experiences.

That was so beautiful, indeed he was with you at that point. Thank you ever so much for sharing your experience with me and I truly appreciate it :)

Yes i do beleive in these experiences with death or near death that people experience. Also this happens much with children in hospitals if you research this. So yes i do beleive in this. My opinion as to why is this. I beleive that God provides us with certain signs that aid in our faith. It is the same with apparitions of the virgin mary and what affect she has had on so many countless people. Some people beleive. Some dont. But i do beleive that this is what near death experiences are all about.
God bless

They are personal I havent experienced one but know a few people who have obviously lived to tell the tale.
One lady said she got to the gate and couldnt go any further, another man said when he was near death he heard angels singing. Another girl saw Jesus. I think when people are near death somehow the veil between the spiritual realm is thinner. The girl that told me the gospel was about to commit suicide when God intervened. Apparently she overdosed but survived and met with Him instead, and He healed her of depression.

Moses had a near death experience in that he could have died in Gods presence but he didn't, he had a veil over his face because His glory was so bright...the rest of the israelites could not even approach the mountain and had to stay well back. Then when God tabernacled with them only the holy priests could approach Him and enter the Holy of Holies. Recall that Uzziah touched the ark of covenant and instantly died!

Now we have Jesus as our advocate and intercessor we need not fear God nor death.
Stephen the marytr actually died but when he was near death its recorded in scripture stephen saw the heavens opened, the glory of God and Jesus at his right hand.

I do think they are God's way of assuring us death is not to be feared, but also for those that dont actually die, because its not their time, they still have things God wants them to do on earth i.e tell the gospel!!

What are your thoughts on Near Death Experiences?

I try to avoid them at all costs. You know how there are things that are just vices in your life? Sometimes, experiences that scare the begeeeeeezus out of ya are good to use as a tool to sharpen your mind by getting your heart in perfect order with God. Nothing happens without a price being paid, which Yeshua did for us, but God does not waste time when He is spending it with us. All He wants anyways, is just to be acknowledged that you know He is there with you. He wants His time being spent with you. This is what we learn by these seemingly unnatural experiences.
