Here is a question, 'while you pray, are you constantly aware of the fact that you are speaking to the CREATOR of the universe'?

We know our Father has made all that is and is all pwerful, yet most times I feel I am talking to my Father or even Dad as His adopted child.

I truly believe all who believe Jesus feel the same.

I sure know He is the Creator when I am mad and upset trying to pray. I know He is Creator, because I say to God, You are the Creator of All things. So go kick that punks butt for me, because as a believer in You, I am suppose to act like I would never do that :)

No.

I come to Christ knowing that He Loves me and died for me.

It would be too much for me to come to the Creator of the Universe with my silly issues...

As best as i can..

But in the end we cannot even imagine how Awesome God is, So even if we are being as mindful as we can be about just how far superior and above us God is, we will still not be attributing to God the high status He actually has..

In the end i take the view that clear and honest communication is best when it comes to God.. Being Genuine about every word one says to God is important.. Trying to be fancy and using a lot of words does not impress God.. God is not entertained by such performances..

actually...yes I do think like that

and I like it

He is my Father and I can tell Him anything...He knows anyway

it's so amazing!

if God can create something so tiny we need a microscope to see it, or create such bizarre creatures that live miles down in the oceans or such amazingly beautiful landscapes with such variety, it seems to me He actually does care about the tiniest thing

besides, Jesus said the hairs on our heads are numbered and our heavenly Father knows when even a common little bird like a sparrow dies

so.....yes.

Let me rephrase that OP (it was late)...

'while you pray, does an awareness of the fact that you are speaking to the CREATOR of the universe come over you'?

'From this side of the 'glass'...of my praying, I hope to 'hear' what it is that is of concern.
This shall not be explainable to most, my personal spiritual faith, by the grace of God...
I Like It A lot...as Forest would say."..........:).........God love You!

At times CN? Yes! Most of the time, it's like I'm talking to the Father, that sent Jesus to earth. But, there are times as well, I am cognizant that I am in the presence of the 7 spirits of God, as well as the invisible God.
There are many Lords! 1 God!
Even though, I pray in the name of Jesus? Sometimes it feels like I'm being put on hold, while my Prayer is being transferred.
And No? I don't have to press 1 for english either! :p

I am a saint of many needs. I have a God of many names. Honestly it's one of the many reasons I love my God. My mom is gone and I don't have a relationship with my dad per say. In fact never did my parents divorced. Don't have a whole lot of friends.
I'm basically a loner and always have been. In fact that's how I came to know the Lord, at a young age I asked him if he would be my father since I didn't have one. I think he heard that request and never left me.
To answer your question there are times where I just find myself in awe of who I am speaking to and try to envision God listening and focusing in on my voice. That usually is when I am seeking him spiritually for wisdom, knowledge, strength, ect.
There are times when I need a friend to talk to, or a father's opinion on something of that nature. Sometimes I just have a conversation with him about the day or random things.
When I am seeking him spiritually I've noticed the Holy Spirit has me addresses him as Adoni why this is don't know but I've learned to love that name.

yes, well today I went to class and the teacher asked us students if anyone would say a prayer or karakia as the maori call it. Well I dont know maori so I just prayed in english. But I was very aware I was addressing God almighty on our behalf and thanking Him for the creation Hes provided for us to learn from. (We are learning all about medicinal plants).

I wanted to say in Jesus name, as well, but the spirit just led me to say amen, as some of the students may not know who he is. I did feel His presence that he heard this prayer and that is was alright. I call Him Lord and Heavenly Father, I dont say just 'God'. I know some people say prayer and they just say dear God but I dont, just find that impersonal. It would be like calling my mum 'woman'. Or my dad 'my old man'.

To be aware of the perfect wonder of God, do we not have to be aware of the perfect harmony of the Holy Trinity? God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When I pray, I pray to God the Father, in the Name of God the Son, through the guidance of God the Holy Spirit.

On can not simply say "the Creator of all" without understanding the complex nature of the Creator, right?

John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2)The same was in the beginning with God. 3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18) And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20) And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21) And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23) continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

As those who hve His Spirit indwelling/abiding/illuminating our understanding we have a sense of His Majesty, His Holiness,, His deep love ...but to fully understand these things would be impossible unless we were God.
We come to the Father through the death and the shed blood of the Son, and we come to the Son as the Holy Spirit leads us to the One Mediator between us and the Father as we have an Advocate who pleads our cause. And then there is this...

Romans 8:26-27 (NASB) In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Found some interesting, and enlightening information concerning prayer.............

(here)

Bible Dictionary

https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrJ61PdapdceQYAyg5XNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEyaDM4Z2dkBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjQ4NTNfMQRzZWMDc3I-/RV=2/RE=1553455966/RO=10/RU=https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/prayer//RK=2/RS=Orh4UZ_A.tUGebGyw5zKUicOrQw-

(excerpts)

Though our own endeavors are not precluded, ultimately the believer is impelled to pray by the indwelling God at work in the deepest places of his or her soul. In the New Testament, this understanding of prayer as God's work focuses on the roles of Christ and the Holy Spirit.

First, Christian prayer is to be prayed "in the name of Christ" ( John 14:13-14 ; 16:23-28 ). This is not some magical formula. It signifies that the suppliant takes the posture and attitude of Christ toward God and toward the world. To pray "in his name" is therefore to pray in a manner consistent with our new identity effected by the reconciliation of God and humans in Jesus Christ. .........................

Second, Christian prayer is mediated by Christ, a theme that is particularly found in John's Gospel and the letter to the Hebrews. .............But Christ is pictured in the New Testament as the ultimate intercessor, and, because of this, all Christian prayer becomes intercession since it is presented through and by Christ to God.

Third, Christian prayer is prompted and guided by the Holy Spirit. In the New Testament the Spirit is that which makes possible even the address of God as "abba" ( Rom 8:15-16 ; Gal 4:6 ). The precise meaning of the Spirit's role in Romans 8:26-27 is variously interpreted, though it is usually associated with the regulation and purification of our requests as the interpreter of the mind of God. Thus, the Holy Spirit is the arbiter, director, and interpreter of all our wishes. Accordingly, God may answer our petitions in his own way (see 2 Cor 12:7-9 ).

Those are just short excerpts from the Article. It is well worth reading if one wants an in depth look at the Biblical Definition of prayer............

Indeed, God is so much higher than we can ever think and yet He is doing a re-genitive work with mankind. Actually creating sons and co-rulers to rule His universe. Amazing!

Psalms 8:all "To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
