Actually on the prophet thingy, it could be argued that Adam was the first
prophet. He spoke with God face to face, and also relayed to Eve that they were
not suppose to eat from the tree of knowledge. A prophet being one who God
speaks to and relays the message to others,

I see your point. I guess for this question the criteria must've been those about who it was written that they prophesied, or were called a prophet in the scriptures.

How many times in the bible was water parted?
Well, I’m thinking.......

Water was parted 5 times:

1) 2nd Day of Creation
2) Moses at the Red Sea
3) Joshua and Israelites at Jordan River
4). Elijah at Jordan River
5) Elisha at Jordan River

Oh goodness, I bet there’s more... I just can’t think of them... :giggle:

Great question, Didy! :D(y)

Wow, that's making me rethink this. I knew it as only 8 and 16, still a double portion but I'll have to take another look now. I'm pretty sure 13 and 14 were not included with Elijah, but I'll have to check those for Elisha. So thanks for that, I like it.

And it was meant to be a bit of a trick question, because the last miracle from Elisha was after his death (#28 in your list), which is why I specified 'when he was alive'. Just for fun.
